Fuck me I just want some All Citra or Double Mosaic for this weekend. I can't even fuck with these collabs right now let alone care about stupid labels. Going back into my grouchy man corner now...

Honestly I am the same way. I realize OH knows who butters their bread (and it isn't us), but I have zero interest in all of these collaboration re-releases.

Thanks to @mortalisbrewing for announcing this one! A Brooklyn release for one of our favorite OH collabs this year. For sale tomorrow at noon!

    ‼️Can Release‼️
    Wednesday 1/29
•Straight Through Lima (Imperial IPA) 9% ABV. It's hard to get to Mortalis from Other Half or vice versa without passing through Lima on 5 & 20. We decided to celebrate our 5 & 20 connection with this beautiful DIPA brewed with our hand selected Mosaic, Motueka, and Riwaka hops. We wanted to bring what is possibly our favorite IPA brewed by @otherhalfroc this year to BK to celebrate our 6th anniversary.
    •
    •
1 case limit per person $20/4pack
    •
We are excited for the return of this beer brewed with our close friends down the road and down in Brooklyn. With Pastrytown close, we will be headed down to BK to brew something dark and sweet.

I said/thought this when @RobNewton posted some things he heard might appear. A few were more recent, although we did get a handful of ones from further back last week. I'd assume it has to do with what they have available right now and is easier for them to brew then possibly going out of the way to get some stuff they might not readily have to make a different beer? But yeah if they are going to be doing this type of thing, why not plan for it a year in advance and pull out some really cool or quirky things from further back. Crazy Talk/Real Talk please!

I'm pretty sure they don't have the Foudres in Brooklyn anymore so probably not possible.

And I would put it right smack in the middle of the pack of OH beers. Most of these rereleases have been underwhelming so far...
...but I'm bracing myself for a hype weekend release that I hope doesn't reignite FOMO that I haven't felt in years.

Grits n Greens is delicious. Just as good as it was when originally released. No one cares cause its a Pilsner. I miss beers like Watch it Fall Slowly & Southernhopalistic. Rebrew more good beers from the past, and stop with the tick bait crap already. That is all.

Haha, good to know. I have talked to him a handful of times about some of the beers but I now I know what to mention next time I see him with some free time

Real Talk was pretty good and I enjoyed, I think Broccoli might have first dropped that release and DDH Forever Simcoe and those were more of winners, but man Crazy Talk was so good IMO

Tomorrow, at noon we have our friends from Middletown helping us release Lab Daydream! ⠀
    -- ⠀
    ⠀
Lab ‍‍ Daydream Imperial IPA(10.0%) Brewed in collaboration with our homies from Middletown @eqbrewery We brewed this with a huge amount of Citra and Galaxy with Galaxy taking the lead. We chose a simple grain bill of 2-row and oats to let the hops really lead the way. $22 per 4 pack, 1 case per person⠀
    ⠀
Thanks to @nomsandbeer for the assist with this one!⠀
    ⠀
One more time for this fun beer! Is this what scientists daydream about? ⠀
    ⠀
I remember being ISO Other Half’s 3rd Anniversary can when it came out. I posted on IG and I got a message from a guy named Geriz/@beerwithflavor. We agreed on a trade and set the place. Before I was even on the team, we ironically met on line at Equilibrium’s first release. Neither of us worked in beer at that time, but we completed our trade that cold February morning in Middletown and ended up keeping in touch. A few months later I ended up taking a job at EQ, and Geriz later ended up at OH, almost a foreshadowing of things to come from our first trade together. With our history at our respective breweries, it’s pretty surreal to take part in the #fanfam posts again, this time on a beer that has meaning for both of us.⠀
Releasing a beer with a brewery that opened so many doors for the culture was an awesome experience and I’m glad this beer has made a return. Beer can open so many doors for you. The people I’ve met on this journey are now some of my best friends and I’m thankful for all of it.⠀
    ⠀
    Happy 6th Anniversary, OH!⠀
    With Love, Michelle⠀

I really liked the Lab Daydream IIR. Also, tried the Deer Gauntlet on tap tonight, what a delicious but strange beer! It was like Fruit Stripe gum at first. Towards the end it got kind of sweet.

And in typical fashion I paired that with the only stout on their menu currently worth drinking, Wood Stove S'mores and can report that it's truly a little gem that I hope everyone who likes stouts gets to try. If I weren't generally trying to limit my beer consumption to on-site I'd have grabbed a 4pk to get me through February doldrums.

I like Lab Daydream a bunch when it first came out, I thought it was more EQ forward than OH at the time, according to my Untappd rating. Deer Gauntlet was good, tried that on Sat, but unfortunately got that and HDHC Ta-Dow together as tasters and after a sip of each I grabbed water and totally forgot which was which. +1 for the Wood Stove from me, I enjoyed that as well.
Don't worry "Moist January" went to all sorts of shit Saturday when I grabbed myself and a few others cans of some of the rebrews haha

It was alright. Wish I’d just bought more oat overdose though

And on the topic of beer with fruit in it that I’m less than enthusiastic about (but I know that many will be excited about since it’s the OG crunchee):

Here's the first in our Saturday line-up! The original Crunchee that started the craze! Thanks to @weldwerksbrewing for this announcement. For sale 2/1 at 10am from corner warehouse.
    ____________________________

Blueberry Crunchee Imperial Blueberry Granola Berliner Weisse (7.4%) with @weldwerksbrewing It's back! The OG crunchee returns just in time for the big party. Brewed with blueberry, almonds, toasted coconut, vanilla, maple, cinnamon, lactose and toasted oats. Start the day off right! $22 per 4 pack, 1 case per person.

Stoked to be a part of @OtherHalfNYC’s #FanFam for their upcoming 6th Anniversary. We wanted to highlight one of the 3 collabs we've had the pleasure to brewing with them so far, Blueberry Crunchee. The very first beer in the Crunchee series (and our personal favorite!), we've found ourselves being asked about a re-brew by folks at various festivals all over the country. This beer is the perfect testament to creativity in collaboration, and we hope y'all enjoy it as much as we do. Happy 6th, dear friends!
