Agreed. While I think Old Rasp is a better beer, like you said, Ten Fidy is in a league of its own body wise. Which it looks like he found out already.
The only thing that I can recall actually having that much fullness and similar anv would be Hoppin Frog’s BORIS and DORIS, but they aren’t available everywhere. Or any cheaper.

I love @islay's list - great choices for a solid response to @Douglaskc - but of all those choices, being a very "feel"-oriented beer drinker, I was totally gonna say that Narwhal most reminds me of Ten Fidy...

Agree with @cjgiant about Old Raspy - it's a classic, but nowhere near as thickly silky - funny you mentioned Narhwal - lol - and man, I haven't had a Speedway in a while, though I'm gonna stick by my guns and Narwhal as the closest to Ten Fidy, 'specially in terms of body and feel - plus their distro is pretty solid, though I don't know about the OP's area...

    Cheers, all...

Lots of good options already mentioned here, so enjoy trying what folks have already suggested. I checked untappd, and it looks like Roof Brothers has a pretty decent selection https://untappd.com/v/roof-brothers/163656
From what looks like you have available and hasn't already been brought up, I'd say try a single of any of the Omnipollo stouts you come across. The ones I've had have all had that super-thick mouthfeel, though they can be a bit sweet. If you decide to get a little wild and spring for something more $$$$, all the Prairie barrel-aged stuff is awesome.

Yah Roof Brother was where I was this afternoon. Took my list of recommendations and bought some Raputing and Blackout. Just finished a Blackout. Pretty good but again not as smooth as the Ten Fidy. But really good and again only 11 bucks for a four pack. So it's a pretty good alternative.

Gonna have to say Narwhal. Personally, I prefer Narwhal to Fidy, as Fidy has a licorice note that I don't particularly care for, but Fidy may have a slight edge in terms of heavy mouthfeel.

Seconding Founders Imperial Stout if you're looking for thickness. It's especially good as it ages - 1 and 2yr. I have some that are over 5yo now and they're still delicious.

I know you are specifically looking for less expensive alternatives to Ten Fidy, but have you thought of your other criteria? Mouth feel is important to many of us and is understandable why it's a priority for you. But a person can go broke drinking only those at the top of their wish list. That stated, have you thought about trying some oatmeal stouts, or perhaps better, nitro milk stouts? You can get 6 packs of those for less than $10 normally (obviously there will be exceptions) and they won't be anywhere near Ten Fidy but they *will* likely be enjoyable and you will have the option of trying something new.
On another rail are barley wines (You used to live in W. Michigan, did you ever try Third Coast From Bells?) That's just an example; they tend to be more viscous than most non-barrel aged stouts and have a wonderful complexity of their own. Belgian trippels and quads may also fill that mouth feel need, but you'll need to try a few to find some that work for you. Of course, for me anyway, it's the research that is the most fun.
Anyway, as you are in Kentucky, look up New Heights in Nashville. They have one called Navel Gazer that is worth trying.
If nothing else, you should have a ball trying different varieties. Getting a group of friends together and sampling a variety in an evening could work for you too. Enjoy the ride!

    I would have to say

    FIS $3 bottle
    Blackout stout $3 bottle
Speedway.....it’s coffee though and not cheap at $6-8 a can 16oz
    Expedition, $3 bottle
Peche mortel , again coffee and $5-6 but so good.
BCS.....love it, don’t remember if it’s that thick a feel

That’s my list and I’m sticking to it

    Enjoy

If you mean Brooklyn Black Chocolate it's just as heavy and I just picked up a 6 pack for $10.99. That's $1.83 a bottle.

Thanks.....not had this beer since it moved to 4 packs......still might have a few stashed away. I bought a few cases on close out at $30 a bunch of years ago. I don’t think I have seen the 6 packs that inexpensive but will look when I grab beer for the super bowl. Won’t dribk this then but it’s a great beer fresh and with age.

    Enjoy
