I get your point. I'm more a draft beer person in terms of preferences. I do agree the bottle conditioning is great. Obviously kegs have been around for Hefeweizen beers for a long time too.

Ever seen someone try to drink one from a .5 liter bottle?

No, my guess is you spit it or drown.

Dear God that stock music. :confounded::grin:
Thanks. I'm a non-swirlin' heathen. I've learned that my preference is to keep that in the bottle despite convention.
Genuine question: What about a can gives you concern regarding this pour?

I may be wrong -- and admittedly haven't tested it -- but a semi-vigorous pour like the one in the video (love that music!) doesnt seem as easy with a can because of the opening/way it's aspirated.

I know Ron Pattinson also doesn't do the swirl/yeast flush, so you're in pretty good company there.

Not a Hef, but how’s this? Couldn’t even fit the whole thing in there at first.

Only issue is finding fresh(ish) versions of either, and one's that are similar dates.

Ah, this is why you read an entire thread first. That picture above is after I swirled and banged the hell out of the can to get all the yeast out. I have another picture of before I did that. I'll try to post that later.

I would hope that the cans will be reasonably fresh. The Paulaner cans were when they first landed and I'm assuming it'll be the same for H-P. The bottles may be a challenge.

Hefe? But I believe it is.

https://schneider-weisse.de/en/node/50 -- open fermentation, genuine bottle fermentation.
So I'm not sure why you wouldn't call it a Hefe?

I was just lazy and didn't feel like typing Hefeweizen. As in Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen which is the subject of this thread, that style. As opposed to Aventinus which is a Weizen Bock.

But yeah, you're definitely right, it's also a "Hefe".
