4am Phone Call Imperial IPA (8.8%) We love this beer and wanted one more chance to drink it. Brewed in collaboration with our wacky and wild friends @azwilderness You know that person that calls you drunk at 4am and leaves long rambling, hilarious messages? We do. He lives in Arizona. Hopped and double dry hopped with a delicious mix of Citra, Citra Cryo, Nelson Sauvin and Sabro with a lot of oats. $20 per 4 pack, 1 case per person. ⁠⠀

-OH is all about community. They created a hub in the middle of Brooklyn for people to meet, laugh, talk shit and drink great beer. They create, foster and embrace community better than most.⁠⠀

-OH makes Crickets and Tumbleweeds on the regular. ⁠⠀
-OH employs a RAD staff who welcomes you (and side-eyes you) with a loving smile.⁠⠀

To be fair, there's plenty of great NEIPA coming out every week, but those are probably the two best "sours" they've done. I guess Evil Twin is doing plenty of stuff along those lines, but if you want to scratch that itch, those two would definitely do it.

 

I really liked Blueberry Crunchee, i think it was the only one in the entire series I was like "Whoa I want cans of this" but Berry Berry was just too sweet for me

 

AZ Wilderness is fucking amazing.

And as for the 4am drunken phone calls, it’s only 1am in Arizona so it’s really not that unreasonable.

 

Any reports on the crowd today? I was hoping to get the EQ collab today but won't be able to make it. I know that weekday releases never sell out within 24 hours but it wouldn't be the craziest thing to me if today's release had more hype than usual.

 

Place was 20% full at 330 when I grabbed a 4 pack. You're more than alright.

Here is the original description of this well loved beer: Brewed with our fruit lovin’ friends @theveilbrewing is a Berliner conditioned on blackberries, raspberries, vanilla, maple and waffles. Like Big Brekkie, this breakfast selection was concocted during our epic NZ hop selection trip with @brewish As you can imagine we've added extra berry and extra compote to make this even bigger and badder than the original. $22 per 4 pack, 1 case per person. ⁠⠀

Back in the summer of 2016 down in Richmond at The Veil, we did our first ever collaboration with the homiez at Other Half. Ever since then, we’ve traveled together all over the world, brewed multiple collabs at both of our breweries, ate many meals together, shared some laughs, and really developed a close friendship. When Sam asked us to brew our first fruited beer collab together, it was an easy yasss. We came up with Berry Berry Compote Compote with blackberries, raspberries, vanilla, maple, and waffles. For their sixth anniversary, we thought we would re-release this juice lord. But knowing us, we couldn’t just re-release it, we had to amp it up a bit. We are pleased to release BERRY BERRY BERRY COMPOTE COMPOTE COMPOTE!! ”

 

Would’ve rather had Big Brekkie. That beer was pretty good.

 

Yeah, I like this one. Reminds me of old school trillium ft point. The fact that it’s now 2 weeks into canning probably is approaching my sweet spot, too.

Forgive my ignorance, hearing lots of chatter about a 6th anniversary, what day exactly is it?

Traveling with some buddies up to New York on Saturday and while it would be cool to introduce them to Other Half for the anniversary, I fear it might be a little crazy the day of.

 

Guys - apologies - new here. Does anyone have a sense yet of when the anniversary beers are being released?
