Good day everybody! Got hit yesterday with a surprise box from @r0rschach - thirteen new beers (all Texas locals) and some hot sauce. Thanks John, I can hardly wait to crack them! My computer died yesterday as well, so I won't be able to post the pix until it is resurrected. Oddly enough, the day before, Mrs Lizard and I scheduled our next flight to TX - back at 5 Stones at the end of Feb and the first of Mar.

 

Sorry to hear about your computer @Ozzylizard. I've been to New Braunfels Brewing Co many times but I've somehow never made it to 5 Stones. Had a few bottles though. Hope you have fun!

 

@r0rschach is better than your sender... He sent you food items BEFORE your sender did (ahem-me).

 

@Ozzylizard @2beerdogs this thread is literally just 3 people now.

FYI, the Newbies BIFers sent me TWO unprovoked ninja boxes. I’ve retaliated already, but if anyone else wants to show them what’s up, message me for an address.

 

Negative ghost rider. You received 2 boxes because you partook in the Double Dong / Savages round(s). The Newbies got together to Beer It Forward to another BIF group on BA. The Newbies, along with other BIF groups on BA (Locals, SWTFYW, Rookies) have also done so in the past.

We (BIF community) have stuck to tradition and have done just that; Beer It Forward to another group. The DD/Savage group just can't seem to comprehend that (yourself included since you're "not part of that group") philosophy, and have decided to "Beer It Sideways" or whatever cute thing they can come up with. If you can't play along nicely, don't play along at all, please.

 

Was never in Savages. The Round 1 Dongers were too sensitive for me to graduate to that.

More importantly, can’t say how disappointed I am that you seem to identify more as a Newb than a Newbeerb. You should know better.

Finally, @jschott75, @HeartofMiami and @Elkevjoe — you lurk here, you gotta join the next round. Thems the real rules. NBS BIF is the Elder God of BIFing. Hidden, unworshipped, slow-moving, but still not to be trifled with.

 

Still computerless - I'm at the local library using one of theirs. 5 Stones is only a few miles from my brother's place at New Braunfels so we can be there in 5 minutes - close, usually not crowded, and good beer. I've only been to NBB once - had a nice talk with the bartender before they opened while Mrs. Lizard was waiting in the car - I left a window down for her.
