probably because the same people complained about them being 12 dollar bottles.

There’s a guy trying to sell his bottles for $70 a piece in a Facebook group. The comments are pretty entertaining.

    “Here are 12 oz bottles!”

    “BOOOO! Too expensive!”

“Ok, Here are 750’s! Lower price!”

“BOOOO now I have to have an entire bottle in one sitting? And $31 for one bottle?”

This is why *I think* you just have to kind of pick a format and go with it. They did the 750, went to 12, now back to 750.

Honestly if they offered these bottles for free, someone would complain. I do think that 30 is too pricey for me but my solution is just don't buy it. The nice thing about 12oz format is if I bought 4 and decided I don't want them all, I can sell the rest to get my money back. Or trade them.

But I totally agree, the same people will always complain.

People hype Super Bowl prop bets, but can't wait til Illinois sportsbooks finally open and I can place proposition wagers on Mikerphone releases.

What did BA 4 packs typically cost? Wasn't it about $45?

I don’t know, but the point being that $31 is lower, even if not lower PER OUNCE. Less of a sticker shock.

Looks like 4 packs were running $60 for their last few release. Both situations you're talking $1.25 an oz, give or take a penny.

Ok, some thoughts for my two visits there this week.

First was the 450 North takeover. That was a nightmare. If anyone thought the turnout may be low due to all the hub-bub at 450 North...hooooollllyyyy crap that line sucked. I got there at maybe 2:45pm and was 91st in line (they were letting people in by groups of 10 so it was easy to count). If it was an option, they should have sold out the back door as their process set up quite the queue. There was the requisite parent (mom, not dad) with a small child in a stroller in 30 degree weather waiting in line outside for over an hour, so that was nice to see some people keepin' it real in the EGV.

As for the beer, the slushies were mostly mediocre. Raspberry Dessert is what you would expect. Nimbus was ok. 4pks ran out right in front of me, so I'm glad I didn't spend $25 on it. Basilisk was also meh. Bertie's Jellee Beens was terrible. Too many flavors at once and I'm irritated I paid $22 for that 4pk. Polyjuice was actually really good and that was money well spent on the 4pk. The collab stout was also not my cup of tea. Waaayyyy too much bitter coffee which masked all the other flavors, even when warmed up to room temp. Though it could be to some people's liking.

I also stopped over this afternoon to try the new BA stout. While the adjuncts certainly masked the barrel, I could certainly detect some of the Four Roses in there as I feel like FR barrels have a unique profile (spicy, sort of cinnamon/red hot candy bite to them). But it was definitely A LOT of coconut and vanilla, which I kind of liked. If someone was so inclined, it would be interesting to have a blind tasting of BA OMWM, Prop 19 and Vanilla Benthic to see how it shakes out. Different palates and all, but I'd like to see those results.

I also tried Stunna, which is a DDH IPA with Citra and Lotus, which also happens to be the hop profile in P3's new DIPA. It was fairly clean and I enjoyed it. I haven't popped a can of P3's yet, so I'll have to try it and compare.

Sorry for the long post, but thought I'd share a little of the 450 North takeover.

Eh. It’s seems funny on the surface but who’d they sell out to? It doesn’t make sense when you think about it for a second.
