Which business isn't trying to make money?

I don't know if these types of parties are an exception. Like, "Thanks for the support. Here is an awesome value."

There is nothing a smart business does that doesn't make them money, including charity and 'customer appreciation'.

They gave away extras for the first Canton anny, because people had been complaining about price online. Bet that didn't work so well for them. They stopped caring about what people online were saying shortly after that. Wonder how much money they made since. People don't know what they want. As long as they allow breweries to tell them, it will keep getting worse.

When they stop selling out the value will increase.

So they just pushed out a bunch of open positions including a head brewer. Did they lose another one?

Also Executive Chef at Fort Point. I guess Michael Morway is on his way out?

Someone on Twitter made a good point that the new Canton location could open this spring or summer. Maybe some of this has to do with that. And maybe the executive chef at Fort Point would move to open up Canton. Unlikely but who knows.

I'm at Canton right now. Lord help me this was a bad choice. At least 100 people in the building, and I've counted 26 dogs and 13 babies.

I thought you guys were exaggerating but I was sorely mistaken. Every group has at least 1 dog or 1 baby.

This is the reason to avoid Canton until they open the new location. Too many dogs and babies in too small a space.

So which did you have? But seriously- the canton tap room is probably the worst tap room I have ever been to, and that is before the kids and dogs are even added to the mix. I have been to approximately 150 breweries. IT is a real shame too, they often have some great draft options at Canton, but I can't tolerate being in there for more than a few minutes. Hopefully the new spot will rectify the sound chamber of screaming and barking. I am not trying to ignite another dogs in taprooms rant, but why in the sweet name of everything holy would you bring a dog to a echo chamber hallway full of kids? Why?!

Dropped by Canton last night at around 9 to grab some cans. That’s the time to go, totally chill.

Trill regs...gotta mule going to the Canton location tomorrow evening, which cans are ones you all would recommend? Thank you, in advance.

Also, True New Englander....those aren’t cans from December, are they?

I feel like a lot of people interpret "dog friendly" means "please bring your dog." Nobody thinks about how their dog is going to do, nor how it would affect others experience. They don't care. Unless I was going during the week, during the day, I don't think I would take my dog to Canton.

I feel like the "taproom" came last in terms of thought when they opened Canton.

Galaxy dry hopped True New Englander was around 3rd week of Jan.

I thought week’s batch of Vicinity was good. Also last week’s double dry hopped Congress St worked for me.

Wonderful Complex Individual worth trying a can - the recipe with sweet potatoes is unusual. I didn’t know what to expect but liked it.

How about that macaroon stout? $20 a 4 a little pricy for a 7% stout but it sounds tasty. Thanks for the intel!

The Coconut Truffle? It pretty much nailed that taste. For me, a bit too sweet for my own preference. Definitely a dessert beer.

I'm a big big fan of their new Assorted Treat Series so far. Coconut Truffle and Peanut Butter Bite were both very well done. Nailed the flavors and I appreciate the lower abv pastry stouts.

It's unbelievable that they let things get out of control like this. I guess there's no going back now - they would lose too much business. I tend to go during odd times - Tue. at 1 for example. It's usually pretty empty and a great experience overall.

Haven’t been to Canton in a while, I’ve never felt like it was a very inviting space. During the warmer months the patio is an improvement though.

In other news this current batch of DDH Congress is pretty good and we are overdue for Scaled Way Up, where is it???

I do, dm me and we can discuss more!

Trillium releasing a chocolate raspberry stout today, feel like all I've been drinking lately are coffee-stouts this or BA that, will be nice to try something with a different flavor component for a change.
