Iowa Rumors?

Yeah I was surprised when the guy at 86th & Douglas Hy-Vee said he didn't think they were getting any Narwal. It seems like we've gotten a lot of SN releases before this.

 

Ya, it's weird as, like you said, most SN beers are easy to come by from what I've seen.

 

Best Buy from Stone, it came and went QUICK

 

Waterfront Hy Vee in Iowa City has lots of the "Best By 12.21.12" left as of today (11.27.12). Picked up 2 more bombers.

 

SN Narwhal has hit cedar rapids hy vees today

 

Good to hear its hit the state finally, now I can only hope it hits DSM or Ames so I can snag a few 4 packs.

I posted the question on the Oskar Blues FB page and this is what I got for a reply:

Obviously whoever is in charge of their FB page isn't allowed to divulge such information until they get the OK from upstairs, but the fact that they didn't say "no" makes it seem highly possible we will be seeing OB on IA shelves soon.

 

Found it at the Johnson Ave. Hy Vee. They said they received 4 cases and I grabbed a 4 pack out of the only case that they had left. Seems like it's not going to be around very long.

 

Man, Narwhal is quite popular I guess. I checked John's this morning and it was nowhere to be found...

 

I can send some to you Iowa folks if need be. We have a few cases left up here in Minnesota I can disperse. BM me if any of you guys can't get any. I have 16 bottles set back just myself to see how this guy ages. Might have to grab a few more too. It's pretty damn tasty.

 

We sold out of our case before the day ended. Didn't know that beer was very popular.

 

Stone Vertical Epic 12-12-12 is on it's way to Des Moines

 

It was at Benz in CR the other day. I was underwhelmed by it.

 

I picked one up last night at the Iowa City 1st ave Hy-Vee (NOT DRUG TOWN). They had plenty.

Quite a bit of Boltcutter at Wilson ave. and Edgewood Hy-Vee here in Cedar Rapids. I had 8 oz on tap and that was enough!!

Also found some Narwahl and Bourbon County. It was a stout weekend.

 

I was at the 1st Ave Hy Vee in Iowa City a few nights ago (not the HyVee Drugstore as mattafett pointed out) and they didn't have any Narwhal left (I found 3 bottles at the Waterfront, so don't worry), but what I DID find was Stone Vertical Epic 12.12.12, at least 6 bottles of Bolt-Cutter left, and quite a bit of Backwoods Bastard. Get it while the gettin's good, fellas.

I gotta go to this place more often.
