Haven't bought a HB beer in a loooooong time, but wondering if I missed the Columbian Coffee Exposition? That was the one beer I really liked from them.

 

Is it hazy?

 

Looking forward to doing a comparison between Fat Bear and Maplewood+P3's Great Peanut Butter Hype.

 

I would guess it comes back before winter is over. Seems they’re doing some stouts to round out the winter season.

 

Feel like it always comes out around Uppers & Downers.

 

Fat bear is outstanding. The thing that stands out right away is how insanely thick it is. Best PB stout I’ve ever had. Not overwhelming PB as the chocolate still shines.

 

Haven’t done a side by side but just did a Fat Bear pour. Very similar in flavor and aroma (from memory) but the HB was maybe thicker.

 

For reference, I'm a:

-Hop Butcher fan, but not blindly
-Pastry stout fan (also a hazeboi, I'm what's wrong with beer)

Fat Bear is SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET. Insert-Wilford-Brimley-gif sweet. I knew what I was getting into when I bought a peanut butter & chocolate stout, but this is too much. I think a 16oz can would be best split 4 ways, and sipped on over the course of a night while other beers were the main attraction.

As @galos11 stated, the mouthfeel is pretty divine, but having a can was (to me) like eating a peanut butter & chocolate cake for dinner. Too much of a good thing!! The last 6oz were sacrificed to the sink gods.

We seeing the Fat Bear drops anywhere

Thursday/Friday drops depending on locale.

 

Just asking cuz the two Binny’s locales I frequent for my HB don’t put it out until Friday. If they put it out today and I missed out I’m gonna be a tad bit salty

Any chance you’d part with that glass?

 

Did they use creamy or chunky peanut butter?

 

Just to clarify, are you making an offer on the glass empty or filled with Fat Bear?

 

I just saw the newer version of the glass(the one with black letting and purple spots) sitting on a shelf. I just can't remember where.
