First thing's first: I searched the forum for this topic and I need some more refinement. I'm relatively new to Indy and would like to find a bar to grab a bite to eat and have a good pint (microbrew or otherwise. Taps are nice). I don't get off work until 11:30 PM. I need a late-night bar that stays open until around 1 or 2 on a weekday. I'm hoping to find somewhere downtown or on the south side of town. Any good ideas?

Chatham tap downtown on mass ave might be a good choice. Scotty's brew house also downtown as bar food that isn't terrible and a fairly large draft list

Not sure when they close but Mass Ave Pub has decent bar food and a surprisingly decent beer list usually. In Fountain Square, which is pretty close to downtown you have the Red Lion Grog House, Brass Rail, Imbibe, The White Rabbit (no food), and some others. No idea how late they're all open, or how late they serve food, I usually leave by 11 or so.

yes to above and believe McNivens has recently expanded their tap list as well.

The issue is that not many places keep their kitchens open that late on a weeknight. Check the following though:

Mass Ave: Mass Ave Pub, Chatham Tap, Macnivens, Ball and Biscuit
Ft. Square: La Margarita, Red Lion Grog House, Brass Rail, Imbibe, B's Po Boy

Twenty Tap. My wife is from Carmel and always stop in when in town. Was there in October and they had BCBS on tap for about $6. Never ate there though and don't know when the kitchen closes. Sorry for being so unhelpful in that regard.

I live on the south side, but I'm up for anything downtown or on the south side. I've got a few ideas now

Mass ave.. Macnivens closes its doors at 12 and no idea on the kitchen. mass ave pub is open until 3, but no idea on the kitchen. chatam tap on mass ave *typically* calls last call at 1. my weekday nite was arrive at macnivens at 11, drink a few. roll into chatam and order pizza when I got there, have 2 more, then to mass ave pub for a night cap.

Northside... fox and hound on 86th is open until 3 every night, as is the kitchen. ale emporium has stellar food, but I don't know how late they do a full menu. its either 10 or 11. beer seller is open late, but no idea on the kitchen.

all scotties locations ( downtown, southport, and downtown) call last call at 11ish and I believe the kitchen closes an hour earlier.

south side... no idea as I don't hang out there.

All this info is regarding weekdays. I would assume weekends would be later, but no idea.
