Anyone have some recs on which non-stout cans to go after? I'm on team SD, ACE, and hop showers but haven't had any of the anniversary beers ever. In MD and the list is below (I added the Berry Berry Berry Compote Compote Compote as that's coming to MD/DC). Haven't been a big fan of the OH sours but the Berry Berry intrigues me as it's a Veil collab and have generally liked their sours.

    • Batch One Was Better
    • Berry Berry Berry Compote Compote*
    • Line @ Garnet
    • Cost +10
    • 4th Anniversary
    • 5th Anniversary
    • 6th Anniversary
    • All 6th Anniversary Everything (Chocolate Whatever)
    • BA All 5th Anniversary Everything (Coffee)
    • Bananaversary
    • BA Bananaversary

I didnt try this Berry Berry Berry rebrew, but the OG was too sweet for me, however not terrible. Although this new one is getting a lot of flack for not being balanced and overall not being very good. the 3 new beers all sound real interesting, I am sure they will be good. 4th Anniversay was one of my favorite beers at OH, although the rebrew last year left something to be desired, id say def try to grab one of those. 5th I liked but not as much as I did 4th the year before, that being said def grab a pack of 6th if you can, its sure to be as good as most of what they put out and they do a good job on the anniversary triples.

This Berry Berry tastes like Eggo waffles. I like Veil sours generally, but this really just tastes like cheap frozen waffles.

Simple answer is 6th anni (per Newton’s Law, plus this will be the one made in the most volume which may come into play depending on when you go) followed by anything else hoppy

Alright thanks all. Guess I won't be grabbing any of that Berry Berry as I wasn't a huge fan of that blueberry/maple/vanilla one they put out back in fall, which I also thought was too sweet.

For me the Berry Berry Berry is alright for what it is, but I really loved Berry Berry, so it's a bit of a disappointment.

According to the Facebook group around 40 chairs are out.

Honestly, when I was in college the thought of pitching a tent and getting drunk with bros while I waited for beer would sound awesome. Now? It just doesn't sound fun at all. To each their own though.

Somewhere scenic in June - for sure

But at no age would camping out near Hamilton Avenue, underneath 278, sandwiched between an industrial building and McDonalds (despite the excellent food) - especially in February where the “feels like” temp is going to hit 10F, sound fun

People are so damn nostalgic about lines they are relishing in this excuse to chase the dragon and relive the magic of those glory days 3 years ago.

But seriously, with the chairs out, what's the risk of being on the line? You gotta be in the chair before bands are handed out is all right? That never sat well with me (pardon the pun) when I got wind of the trend at Tired Hands and it's frustrating to see it here.

Tomorrow’s beers will be worse, the same or better than the beers that will be released next week.

The beauty is a majority of these people weren't even around to relish in the magic 3+ years ago

Man, if the OH anniversary was in say June, I would be scared to think of how much earlier people would be out there with favorable weather
