I was actually just coming to this thread to ask what people thought of this, thanks for the warning.

Who is Barclays and why is there such a ridiculously inflated value for these dimension stouts?

Homebrew that got some buzz for his stouts who just started a full "membership" this last year. Supposedly very very good, but I haven't tried any yet.

I found it soul-crushingly sweet. If you have an insatiable sweet-tooth, it might be for you. I'd say find a place that will sell you a single, but that's just me.

I grabbed it - its really well done - the peanut butter is fantastic, but damn is it sweet. I really struggled to finish one can ... so if that isn't something that bothers you, go for it. If you don't like super sweet stouts, skip it.
Yea, a single of this would have been great ...

Happy to report that spiteful’s BA malevolence caliente has a delightful bouquet, with great, layered complexity. Improves with air and temperature - one year old recommends running across the room and throwing a toy at it, dumping entire contents on you and white carpet.

Please don’t bring this one year old to any beer releases...

Everyone knows you need to wait until a kid can do a cartwheel before they can go to a brewery.

    Moved from the Rev thread.

I love the irony of people making fun of a guy drinking a White Claw while they are waiting in line for a beer named Bananaversary.

He was a Chicago homebrewer who made a name for himself for doing really great big/thick barrel aged stouts. Also did some variants such as vanilla, maple etc and different barrel treatments, getting some interesting barrels from Warehouse Liquors. He occasionally had events at Pizano's downtown where you could sample the beers. I saw a couple of his old homebrew beers traded before, but there were so few that most people were just drinking them.

Anyway he got enough interest and decided to go pro so to speak, and find a place to brew them on a larger scale and created a membership program. The beers are brewed at Ellison Brewery + Spirits in Lansing, MI.

The first batch of member beers released a few weeks back. Since they are membership only, and not too many out there, the values are kinda high.

Anyone know if goose island is doing stout fest this year? I haven't seen anything about it, usually an event I try to get tickets to.
