I remember it as being non-transferable

Two years in the barrel, three years in the bottle. I don’t know any American brewery that puts that much attention to detail into their beer. Cost of storage for 5 years adds up. It’s pricey but I think it’s justified.

justified sure, but I don’t know how people can think any beer (or any beverage for that matter) is worth spending that much on. To each their own but I would assume that is more what @ISpendTooMuchOnBeer was saying, then again I could be wrong. Heck I could buy a case of Marie or Mary for that price, I’d take that any time over a single bottle at that price.

Tell that to the people who will inevitably pay 1500 for this thing

You could probably trade that bottle to someone willing to send you a case of Marie every month for a year.

Difference is people actually drink Marie and Mary.

Bottles like these are trophies for the most part, to be admired, photographed, re-sold, and rubbed down weekly with a soft diaper.

Can someone give me a brief summary on what this last page of conversation is about? I have had their stuff on draft but I have never been up there or had their bottles.

Curious how you got to $80 in entry fees? The max if you enter every day is $8, no?

It seems like he is talking about using family, friends, etc. to get additional sign ups, hence more $2 charges. I assume a lot of people do this. I for one, have no friends that would drive up to pick up the bottle if they won. Also, I would not risk using my wife to sign up for me because I think she would not be too thrilled with the price tag.

    You're welcome.

Hmm...ticketed releases are not common, but they've done it for Ann, a previous batch of Flora Cuvee, and Art (maybe/likely), maybe others.

There may be others and I'm sure someone will have more specific info.

If it’s only 1 barrel of flora as the description said, and subtracting collected works members, there’s gotta be like 100 bottles available through the public lotto. So odds are absolutely horrible I’d imagine. Also, why is it called flora “cuvee” if there’s been no cuveeing? It’s a single barrel of flora. I don’t think that matches the definition of cuvée. Maybe I’m an idiot, but that’s how I understand it.

I believe Collected Works members have to enter like everybody else for this bottle given it's limited amount.

I don't think cuvee is always a blending. I think it can also be the "best" of the floras that went into this single barrel.

The description calls it a grand cru which is more apt, probably just wanted to keep the same label.

Someone on FB said CW members weren’t getting any special treatment for this release. Not sure if that’s accurate.

They've released a "Flora Cuvee" before?
