In fairness, that wasn’t a beer nerd with the glock. It was some white claw drinking dude allegedly from the Midwest staying in a AirBnB nearby, who clearly needs Jesus

Factual information based on the [whinces] newspaper's article. Go read the last 5 pages of the OH thread for more context. It's got all the things.

Apparently, there are in fact laws when you're drinking (or at least throwing) Claws. Thanks for referencing the OH link, most excellent.

Bringing things full circle back to Revolution, any chance we will ever see this again?!

I remember fondly when it was tapped to honor Mean Gene after he passed.

Yeah, meant to drop this little tidbit in the Chicago Stout Release thread.

The barrel master has stated several times they'll never barrel age a beer below 10% a.b.v. ever again.

I thought a Glock was a prerequisite for even opening a Claw at this point? It's all so confusing.

Thanks for your response. Never say never, but even if that holds true, perhaps there are one or more kegs of the original in the back.

Had another can of 2019 DT last night, it may be my favorite beer released last year. Absolutely perfect.

I also had a can of DT last night. I'd love to go back in time with a can of this past year's vintage do a side-by-side with earlier years; it's one of the clearest examples of steady improvement I've seen on the BA side.

wait, is that the most recent release of the previous release? These release cycles really need to respect established “winter season” or batch rules (e.g. 2019-2020 or batch 7)

The most recent release was canned 10/2019, I think. And yeah, I told @BeerCruncher we should be using "sports season" (NBA or NFL, I guess) rules for release discussions.

I could be wrong, but I thought they said they’ll never package a sub 10% BA beer again vs barrel age it.

I thought the Very Mad Cow from last release said 9.something %

9.7% ABV...and yes, I meant packaged. I suppose a draft-only Mean Gene could be in the cards...

Well, according to their Instagram, it looks like we may get a small VSOJ release next week...
