Got my APW at Open Bottle today & just opened my first bottle. It's probably been three years since I've had it & it really is hitting all the right notes & is just a classic in your face IPA.

With the buzz the change in format is getting I'm really hopeful they release APW more frequently & we see Dreadnaught & Permanent Funeral in 4 x 12 packs soon.

 

Also drinking an Arctic Panzer Wolf at the moment. Damn, it’s good. Not many like it presently. So abrasive, in a good way. Reminds me of the original version of Ruination.

Surly has one named Abrasive,it's been around for a while.

 

I miss Abrasive. It was a great brew. Surly is dying a slow death since Todd left.

I've seen Arctic Panzer Wolf at 3 different locations in Wicker Park/Ukrainian Village. And to my surprise they're being sold for only 13.99 and 14.99. I was expecting it to be marked up a bit more since it's 14 at the brewery. Needless to say, I'm quite happy about that. Having one right now and it's as good as I remember it being.

 

the beer is pretty whack, but I’ve gone to the taproom a dozen or so times while in town for business and that damn place is packed to the brim every single time

 

First go at APW, one of my favorite pours, within my Top 3 styles. So glad this is now being distributed. Picking up another four pack!

 

Queue six months from now - “Why did FFF discontinue APW? I guess having easy access to it everywhere allowed people to take it for granted so they started buying something new and scarce allowing APW to shelf turf.”

 

I'm planning on making a trip down to the distillery to check it out for the first time - finally. I hopped on Yelp to try to show my fiancee some pictures of the inside, and I ended up getting a good laugh on the 1-star reviews. This one in particular had me laughing:

They should have an artist incorporate the last line of that on one of the walls somewhere. That being said, I'm looking forward to checking it out.

 

The distillery is amazing, cannot recommend it enough. I had a mixed drink, Drawn by Cats..sp?, which may have been the best mixed drink I have ever had. Vibe is very relaxed compared to the brewery. When FFF does something, they seem to go all the way.

 

Count me as another that loves the new format for APW. I skimmed the thread, and may have missed it, but does anyone know if this is a regular release or just sporadic? If it’s regular, I’ll have it on hand at all times.
I definitely agree with another poster that said it reminded them of old school Ruination

 

That's always the thing with FFF, they don't exactly reveal their future plans. APW was never on a regular release schedule, it would just come out at random times, just like Dreadnaught and Permanent Funeral. If anything, this lends itself to future hope that they do 4 packs for the other big DIPA's they brew.
