Looks like they have a new hazy ipa- Hati.

That would be my prediction as well. A rotation of those 3 and maybe another, new DIPA. They are all great, and just different enough to keep things interesting. That was essentially their approach with those beers when they were in bombers. I would be all for that approach, because nothing makes a beer seem passé more than when it becomes year-round. As sad as that is to say...

This is somewhat untrue. They used to produce APW at a ratio with Dreadnaught. It was something like 1 batch of APW for every 2-3 batches of Dread. I can't remember exactly what it was, as this was like pre-2010 or 2011. And back then they were brewing Dreadnaught like every other month I believe. These exact numbers may be off, but the point is they used to have a formula. No idea when it stopped, but probably with the increased demand of ZD.

I do agree I would love to see this format with all future DIPAs.

Agreed, three times a year would definitely keep me picking up a 4 pack of each whenever they are released

I don't know if my liver is ready for regularly-released, small format 3 Floyd's DIPAs...

Yes, it is not as though their beer purchases fund the Satanic Temple like Metropolitan Brewing's collaboration offering. That said, I love FFF and love their taproom!

The Adversary Applewood Smoked Bock was brewed in collaboration with, and in charitable support of The Satanic Temple - Chicago Chapter. Available in our tap room, and a few other locations throughout Chicagoland.

Aromas of cherry and raisin with a hint of leathery-smoke. Striking malt flavor with savory smoke notes blending with caramel and very subtle chocolate flavors. Smoked malt is well integrated, providing support to the beer instead of taking over.

The Satanic Temple’s mission is to encourage benevolence and empathy among all people, reject tyrannical authority, advocate practical common sense and justice, and be directed by the human conscience to undertake noble pursuits guided by the individual will.

wait...so..I’m assuming these people haven’t been to the taproom first? which is the exact same environment?

my folks and I were just talking about how much we love the brewery last night, and my mother went “they just played screaming music and all the TVs were playing How High” lmao

either way the interior of the distillery looks fucking amazing. I’m assuming they only have young spirits available (gin, vodka, etc.)?

I believe this is the first time I’ve had APW in about 5 years and it still tastes as good as the first time I’ve had it. It’s definitely resembles OG ruination with a slightly more stonefruit bottom-end as opposed to how pithy and grapefruity I remember old school Ruination to be. That’s just me though.

ZD may have faded off tremendously in quality, but APW is still as good as gold.

War Mullet, Cimmerian Sabertooth Bezerker, Live A Rich Life, Apocalypse Cow... I"ll take all of them in 4 pack since I love 'em all. How 'bout a different one every other month?

Christian or Satanic may you be, but you gotta give a brewery like that credit for being forthright.

Yes, a little more antagonistic than an Agnostic/ Atheist stance, but I have no issues with it, and plan on going in March to their brewery (mostly out West till then). Liked their pours to date.

I love this idea. I'm getting tired of the haze, I want my palate to be assaulted again. But you have to include Permanent Funeral and Dreadnaught too.

I picked up a 4-pack of APW yesterday. I'm on antibiotics right now though, and my doctor says I have to wait until next Thursday. My pharmacist agreed. I found a site on the internet that said that hop deficiency can cause all sorts of health problems though, so I'll make my own mind up based on careful consideration of the evidence.

Hati was nothing like the description. I wouldn't call this hazy at all. Maybe unfiltered, but this is in no way juicy/hazy/NEIPA like. It's another solid FFF beer if you like their ipas- it has some unique flavor and a softer mouthfeel, but it definitely has some biscuity/malt flavor coming that you don't get with hazy stuff these days. Wish I would have just waited to try this at DLD....

It’s fascinating to watch Floyd’s refuse this style. I get it, they like the old way. #MeToo but eventually you gotta give people what they want. Sierra Nevada did it and is raking it in with Hazy little Thing. Look at Rev and Half Acre, both of them finally decided to take the gloves off and fight. Both are making stellar hazy ipa now.

And Stay Lit, the collab they did with FR many years ago was one of the most amazing local NEIPA attempts of its time. If only...

I just don't get the sense that 3Floyds cares about the NEIPA style (as interpreted by Phase 3 or MoRE and the type of breweries). Their business seems to be growing just fine without it, and plenty of other breweries find their niche without having to delve into that style (see Dovetail).

I LOVE the fact that they are not hopping on the bandwagon. If there is one brewery I hope never changes, this would be it...
