Is there some weird NJ law that prohibits breweries from serving that early?

 

I for some reason being told that they cant serve before noon...but i may be making that up?

 

and we were debating and saying 20 cents more per oz was an increase for nugget nectar. Hahah. Different worlds. That’s nuts on the vengeful heart increase.

 

Yeah maybe, I know bars can serve super early AM, but maybe the brewery license is different.

Yes but as the poster above me said, why go back to bottles? Once they went to the lower price, I’m not going back to that price for the same beer. I’m stubborn about some things, which is a shame, because I love that beer haha.

 

Maybe they just had plenty of bottles already in storage to be used up, or their canning machine was occupied when they wanted to package? Honestly I think we (I'm guilty of this too) probably read way too much into these decisions sometimes.

 

just to clarify - VH isn't the "same beer" as it was last year. Last year was under 10%, this year it's over 10% and boiled for 8 hours (they haven't previously announced that on the last 2 releases). It also uses different malts and hops. Same name and most likely the similar end result; but it's not a 1:1 like a sneakbox has been for a few years.

 

Look, I love Kane’s beer and I’m not gonna stop buying it. I’m Just making my own personal point that although I look forward to vengeful heart every year I’m not going back to paying a higher price.I don’t care what the reason is.Not a big deal I’m sure just my two cents.

Agreed. My guess is that a brewery like Kane has a general rule of thumb for pricing and markup based on ingredients, operating expenses, etc.

 

Going back to bottles is even more interesting when you look back to 2018 when they canned it. Glenn mentioned they canned it in an effort to draw attention to the fact that it's a hop forward beer that should be drank fresh; as opposed to cellaring it like a normal barleywine.
