Think 8x BCS for a T25 with the T25 guy adding some CA-only locals (nothing overly difficult to find, maybe a few fresh Blind Pigs?) is a decent starting point?

Yeah I would have done it if I had more. Figure $30 for the T25, I'd add a couple Alpine bombers and ship. T25 is good, but not anything better than Consecration imo. The rarity is the "value", not the taste.

Consecration is one of my all time favorite beers. I did feel T25 was better, but not by miles and miles. I probably should ISO more/some Consecration......

It's for sale @ the brewery right now. Dried up in SD at the moment. IIRC they are $12 at RR. Trade $72 of BCBS for a 6 pack

    Wasn't T25 $30 for exactly one day?

It's what I paid for a bottle @ SD. Yes I know SD has no to go license.

And yet, despite your worldly outlook and suave command of trading ins and outs, you are here asking your inane question anyway.

Somehow I always think BCS means Black Chocolate Stout when I see it, guess I need to up my knowledge and game a bit.

I don't want to jump your play, but how many bites to get to the middle of a Tootsie Roll pop?

it was 25 at the brewery, 30 for a few days at toronado, then 40 at toronado until they stopped selling it.

I have seen BCBS for sale online at multiple places, and there is still more coming...

I'd strongly disagree with that. Calling BCBS "BCS" seems like a much more recent thing - in the last year or two. Historically BCS always referred to Black Chocolate Stout, which certainly was tradable as one of the best beers to age, and also before barrel mania swept across the beer geek world it was recognized as one of the best impy stouts out there. Also, until about the time of the AB buyout, there wasn't much reason to talk about either beer that much, as BCBS permanently sat on shelves year round and a thread like this would never have existed.

I don't mean to be pedantic about it, but I really wish people would just use BCBS, because there very much is still confusion. Thus, every time somebody says BCS in a trade discussion you kind of need to awkwardly clarify just to make sure.

Early 2010, it was definitely BCS for Bourbon County Stout and BBCS for Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout.

Coffee came along and got listed as Bourbon County Coffee Stout, then switched to Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout. Then they switched the listing for Bourbon County Stout to Bourbon County Brand Stout. So people started using BCBCS and BCBS.

    True story, maybe.

The possible challenge here is BC(B)S is slated to hit Cali in the next few weeks. But, no one knows how much. If it's as much as was avail in the Midwest, then trading it for a T25 might not even be in the cards anymore. But, if we get like the usual 4 cases spread across the entire state. Then you'll be in a good spot to work out a deal.

The decision might be...... hit it hard now, before it lands, or wait 3-4 weeks, and see if it's BCBS feast or famine out here in Cali.

    Good luck either way!

T25 is not a good beer. I'd be hard pressed to trade a 4 pack for it.

Two 4 packs would be a fair price point but I would not trade my T25 for BCBS. The problem is, even if I wasnt able to find any '12 BCBS, I could easily trade another great beer like Darkness that comes out every year for some and keep my T25.

I was able to land two T25s with 2009 BCBS - one trade was for 6 12 oz bottles, the other was for 4 12 oz bottles and one bomber. Obviously the BCBS in these trades was not 2012 but I thought both trades were great and I think all parties were pleased!

How about 20 bottles? No shipping either, we can do an IP in Chitown.

Probably not. I ended up paying $160 for a case, and not really looking to pay eBay prices
