Half Acre (2020)

I agree on less alcohol in Navaja, but I still loved it. There was something about the bite in its totality that did it for me. I liked Vallejo, but in a "if there's nothing else I want at this bar I'll still be pretty happy" way.

Really waffling back and forth on going to HA today. I need 0 more stouts but this sounds so good...

 

Basically everyone was buying max allotment so I’d guess this is gone in the next few hours. Can’t imagine it lasting beyond 4:00 but who knows

 

It’s pretty damn good. Lot of barrel but it doesn’t dominate. I was personally hoping for more vanilla but I still enjoyed it a lot

 

It’s pretty chill at balmoral right now, no line. Bartender said they are running low on cans

 

I also need 0 more stouts, so I'm glad there's no way I'm going to be able to make it to HA today. They killed it with Benthic this year, and this one sounds awesome.

 

If everyone did whale releases during business hours I would save so much money on not buying beer.

 

Yeah no kidding. I am basically never able to get Half Acre or Rev stuff when they release like this, and there is no way I'm driving to the city during rush hour after work...so..yeah...money saved. That said, if anyone from the NW burbs has extra allotment they aren't buying...

 

I absolutely did not need any more stouts this season (especially after restocking some Deth’s Tar during a trip to Rev yesterday). But I bit and bought an allotment. It’s no Benthic, but very enjoyable if you’re a cinnamon fan.

 

Puzzling decision to have such a high limit. Hopign to get some cans after work.

 

What were they priced at per 2 pack?

Also, if I ever retire, I think I'm going to just take a low level job at a brewery so I can drink for cheap and have access to limited releases...

Had a little nip as my shifty which prepped me for a cold walk to the bus. Perfect beer for such a cold yet sunny day!

 

Yeah, I think stuff like this is going to last a little longer when you are talking about $14 a can of beer with tax. Which is actually a good thing for people who really want the beer.

Alot of people are not going to risk the purchase for a new beer at that cost, despite HA's reputation. I would be one of them.

 

Please post if Lincoln runs out so I don't stupidly freeze to death walking over.
