Any opinions of Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Wild Ale? Never had it and recently purchased 2 bottles of it online...
Yeah, its certainly not a wild ale, sorry to say. It is a really nice Simcoe forward belgian IPA. It's made with the same yeast strain that Westmalle uses. I really like this year's, but dont go in to it expecting any sour or funk/brett characteristics. Its a great beer for sure for the price its a fucking steal(4.99)
It's my favorite Lagunitas beer, and that's saying something considering all of their great beers. I'm a huge fan of Belgian IPAs, and this is definitely the best example I've ever had. Dank hops + Westmalle yeast = BOMB!
Not sure why it can be difficult to find (even in season), but I buy a sixer whenever I see it. It was a worthy investment.
That to me is the 3rd best beer they make... Next to Hop Stoopid and Brown Shugga. I love the crap out of it though. I always buy tons of it when it releases. Good buy
