    Finished up playing with gunpowder and explosives (i.e., loading 100 rounds of 168 SMK service rifle rounds for upcoming Civilian Marksmanship Program competition in March and into April - need 50 rounds for each match, plus another 3-10 for sight-in)...in addition, applied linseed oil to some old bird houses that need to be re-mounted to the 'Fortress of Solitude', and got the green chili and goat stew fine-tuned (it's an awesome dish!)...fireplace cleaned out and new firewood set to go for this evening's cold and wet weather, so, main chores done -- time to let go on the weekend!

    I trust there was no hidden meaning in the name of the beer and what folks say about my work performance. Adequate ability sounds an awful lot like comments I would see on my work performance reports.

    Take it slow on the Adroit beer and you’ll get through. Just watched A Bridge Too Far for the first time recently and followed up with internet research. Need to rewatch what you are as well. Cheers!

    No, made it to Oddwood currently and then its to the No Idea Music Fest tonight. I head up to Dallas tomorrow. No car, so I stuck with semi convenient breweries this go round. I had looked into Pinthouse.


    Did Lazarus yesterday and that was a fail, nothing about them I cared for, personally. Today has worked out much better. Lupulin Rodeo and Hops & Grain were great, Oddwood Brewing....the beer is even better but not so much a fan of the vibe here. Just seems like a pizza restaurant, IMO.

    Hey no worries; too many places, too few days. I get it. But good on you for trying out those you mention. The brewery/taproom scene is pretty different in Texas - not quite as pubby as some I've experienced in other cities/states. They are either fully dedicated venues (Jester King) or do have that rather awkward "we expect you to eat of course" assumption...

    I’m so lucky to have a brewery the caliber of Bare Hands literally three miles from our house. This is a really nice juice bomb, with a surprise from the melon flavor. A great beer to enjoy whilst firing up the grill for steaks for me and Mrs O tonight.
