Eighth State Microcosm Bottle Society

Is 8th state worth a visit if no release on a random sunday? Leaving from AVL to Atlanta and was considering going down through SC.

 

For sure. Even if there’s not a release, their crowler selection is on point, draft board usually has a great variety, and there’s always a chance someone has a bottle share going on. I’d absolutely venture that way.

 

Curious if they will expand membership anytime soon. Seems they have a lot of hype/demand already and small production. Wondering if anyone had any insight.

Slightly with more product. But what I hear about Eighth it's not likely. Super small. Often times with the sour only memberships it's people who don't renew more often times.

 

Yeah I’ve just never experienced seeing that happen too often if at all.

 

I was on a waitlist for Main & Mill in 2018 and was selected for their 2nd year of membership. As mentioned above, it mostly depends on their brewing capabilities. I think M&M was able to expand their membership because round 2 of their membership the bottles were smaller. For round 3, they expanded their brewing capabilities and now the bottles are back to the original membership format. If 8th state has not increased their brewing capabilities, I'd doubt they can expand or open their membership to more members.
