    It's not.

    +10 minutes

Who needs 17 miles when you have 2!

Also this thread is hilarious because you can easily tell who actually lives in DTLA and who visits.

HPB Chinatown is not a half hour drive from the Dojo. It’s literally ten minutes.

If even that. Whenever I visit my folks on LA county I always try to hit these two on my way out of town for to go stuff. MT first and if parking is too much of a pain I just go to hpb, it is just down the street, maybe 10 minutes if its a busy time of day

Also it just seems like a preposterous notion that the only thing keeping one extremely popular brewery tasting room in dtla open is the nearby presence of another bar, were not talking about some rural cross roads where while town might go if the gas station closes up

I walked the MT to HPB route a few times, really not that far of a walk. If one not feel like walking, the bus wasn't too bad either considering the convenience of Google Map and way cheaper than Lyft/Uber.

It’s not 2 miles, or it’s not considered nearby?

When I posted this, I felt like the guy who complained that the green cheek food wasn’t ‘evolved’ - I guess after reading so much about their food on here, my expectations were too high.

I kind of agree. The food is pretty good but not mind blowing, which is how it got hyped up here.

I never got to taste the legendary elote quesadilla though... :slight_frown:

The dilla is at the Hermosillo location. Which is where I think a lot of people prefer the food.

Mikkeller never had beer to draw people in simple as that. They ran a number of nice guest tap events but every time I convinced myself to go I can remember a hard wincing when I got the bill.

Just a reminder to folks Homage should very well be opening a stumble falls way from Highland Park Chinatown this year which will make the area even more a mecca for LA's best beer. I also still don't think its out of the question for Monkish to get a second satellite location this year if an opportunity arises similar to Green Cheek Costa Mesa and BF.

Monkish acquiring a second location would really surprise me. I get a strong sense that Henry wants no part of that. The fact that they scrapped the BA stout sale for pours because of all the "attention" makes me think it aint happening.

really? I don't think most people prefer the Herm food. maybe just the hardcore 'dilla people (I too wish they had the dilla. just had the dilla last night in fact at the Herm)

seems like most of the complaints about the food at HPB have been about portion size and lack of entrees.

the food is way above average there, especially for a brewery. people really do not appreciate how good the stuff is they're offering, and that's sad, and I'm going to cry

I was incredibly sad knowing I've had my last Breakfast Biscuit sandwich and Croque Madame sandwich. Won't miss the prices though, I only went 2-3 times a year cause of that.
