8 Crazy Nights BIF: Hints & Hauls

Can someone remind me what the procedure for opening is? Is there a specific night we are supposed to start opening, or is everyone just starting whenever their box arrives?

The box with the seven bottles is on its way to my target and should arrive Monday. The growler is going to go out Monday and should arrive Wednesday. If 12/8 is the first night to open, the growler will definitely be there in time to be opened first, but if opening starts before then, my target should just insert the growler into the lineup whenever it arrives. Thanks!

 

I believe Hanukkah starts on the 8th and since the growler generally is the first to "expire" it should be the first item consumed and opened which means the first surprise bottle should be opened on the 9th. At least that i show i understood the rules to be but maybe Isaac can chime in since it's his BIF.

 

My growler wasn't counter pressure filled and it's not an IPA. My target can open it when he gets the box or wait until the 8th - I don't foresee an issue but you never know.

ALSO... my target has had Masala Mama as well.

 

Yeah, the Masala Mama hint is probably only slightly more useful than the "my target's name is on post #13" hint. That and Live Oak are the two ultimate "growler only but easy trades" in the Top 100.

My growler is not counter pressure filled, and is not an IPA. So when my box lands you can take your choice of when to open. I might open it early "ensuring growler freshness", but you can make the call.

A hint to the growler. The brewery was 2nd on their list responding to one my earlier questions. It might have been minimally bottled, though the last bottle review was from 2006. In total this beer only has 22 reviews.

 

Fine fine, here is a helpful hint.

My targets BA name and my BA name have 0 or 1 letter in common. This should narrow down the field a lot if you have been following all my hints.

Box is packed up and leaving today Sorry for the brown paper bags. I was in a hurry to pack this up. Whomever my target is can you please take a photo when you get it with everything wrapped and send it to me. I was in a hurry to pack this up and get it out during my break.

 

That def narrows it down AND I'm still in the running but for some reason I don't think we paired up again...

Fancy! Mine are wrapped in fedex themed mailers.

 

I must apologize to my target in advance. My bottles will not be wrapped. I had to ship out today in order to make sure the box landed in time. The growler will be coming in a separate box as well. I had targets for two different BIFs switched around and did not realize how far I had to send this box!! If you want to be "surprised" by the brews you will have to have someone else open the box up and give them to you 1 at a time! Sorry again....

 

My target will get some very cool *********, snowman, and tree paper!

All packed will ship out tomorrow. To my target open the growler when you get it it's a Imperial IPA i am not sure how it will last. Also the bottles are not numbered so it will be your choice maybe you'll open a whale maybe you will open a vintage blue moon who knows.
