    I was at the Alpha Hop release this past Saturday in Mills River and per the bartenders they are discontinuing Hop Hunter. At that time they had 12 kegs left and that would be the last of it.

    This is a Bitburger release... I can try to find out the release plan and target area, but I'm not sure at this time. Sorry.

    Terence, in the above post: "...per the bartenders they are discontinuing Hop Hunter". Is this true? Is Hop Hunter being discontinued?

    Found it at a Kroger in Dayton, OH today - Shrink wrapped 6pk cans with both UPC and EAN barcodes on the bottom. $9.99

    Yes, maybe. Or maybe they think they have a dud on their hands. The few reviews on Ratebeer (can we mention them on this site?) are relatively low and mostly Euro-centric. Still have not seen it in central Maryland although the original post did say "limited distribution"

    It was probably just bad timing. I doubt the distributors really stocked up within the past month or so, at least around here, and what is managing to sell lately is what was already in the supply chain.

    Never stopped anyone from rating or discussing -- as you note. But I don't think many breweries rush out to "pull" a label if they think they aren't selling.

    I'd bet it's COVID and less demand for imports -- even if they do advertise another brewery on the label.

    When it comes to lagers unless its a review from someone I trust, I just ignore them.

    It's good. Really good. I already bought a six pack. It doesn't pull any punches on hoppiness. I'm not disappointed in the slightest. I'll probably buy another pack or two!
