Have others felt this batch of ACE to be suboptimal? I was eating chips and salsa but that usually doesn't fuck up the perception of IPA's.

    Give it time.

not the same beer, but DDH Double Chroma has gotten noticeably better over time.

Pastrytown was fun, waaay more hype whales this year than last year. Favorites were Baked Kujira 24K (even though it was just a small pour), Apple Brandy Toasty Coilz, Medionoche is my Safe Word, and BA Snowbirds 3 in Four Roses. But lots of good stuff all around! Biggest complaint is that there were far more timed releases than advertised and had that been communicated it would have been easier to plan out. Kind of overwhelming otherwise and there were things I missed out on as it was hard to keep track of what was being tapped or poured when.

Biggest disappointment is BBT being kicked ~20 people in front of me. Crushing.

I honestly don't think its going to get better, its not like its tasting green or anything, its just lacking the punch. Its still really solid though just like a B grade batch instead of an A.

yeah exactly this - if they announced they were doing a hybrid small citra / ACE it would taste like this

American English, as compared to Scottish English.

We had early access tickets. Got in line at 10:40. Didn’t get in until 11:20, and there were probably at least double the amount of people from last year. Lines everywhere even during the early access hour. Beers were good, but I’m done with this festival.

Got a 4 pack of Hop Showers today, it's a fantastic batch, has those melon notes.

    Broccoli Rez is also great!

I cracked an ACE last night, very good, but def not one of the blow me away batches. Still better than most, but not their A+ stuff.

From what I saw of Pastrytown, it seemed like there were a lot lines at certain tables but others were really open. As @SpinSamzo said, it might be a great idea for OH to compile a list and share it, of all timed released (not just their own timed tables) because it seemed like a lot of places had one off openings at certain times. As it stands now you'd have to check everyone one of their social medias or take a walk around the entire fest to gauge when and where you'd need to be for a timed thing.

I hate to say it, but 6th is really meh. I keep thinking it's going to get better, but every can I crack is a disappointment.

Please remind me to only buy one 4-pack of 7th.

I had one on Saturday, but I had a few others before that. I thought it was good, but def not as good as 3rd or 4th. I still like it better than 5th.

Hope you guys are wrong! But maybe this is the Other Half master plan to drive mass hysteria and price increase for HDHC version !
