Enjoy By 12-21-12

They seem to keep just about anything "limited" at that little wine desk lately. Even the Stone Chipotle/Vanilla Smoked Porter, which still seems to be everywhere, is back there.

 

They didn't come in until Tue afternoon. Stone rep. Steve tweeted there are about 36 left there.. about 2 hours ago.

 

Was there last night and they had a couple of cases to the left of the wine desk. Also had some Sam Adams Merry Mischief in the cooler.

 

Ah, okay. I have to go tomorrow morning anyway, maybe I can get there this evening somehow. Thanks.

 

Anyone seen this on tap in South Austin? Taplister is only showing it at Hopfields and a Whole Foods in Bee Caves.

 

Specs on DeZavala in SA had 12+ on the shelf as of about 5:30 tonight if anyone is looking in SA.

 

Had some at 400 Rabbits tonight. Damn tasty, but $5 for half a pint.

 

Whoever said this is an Alpine in disguise is exactly right. It's like a more balanced Duet, which I'm not sure if that makes it slightly better or slightly worse. A+ Stone, Chad would be proud!

 

Agreed. Drinks a lot like an Alpine clone. Wonderful stuff.

 

I was there too and the weirdest thing is... to me anyway, it tasted less intense on draft than the bottles I've had. One would think it would be the other way around. Maybe my sinuses were a little stuffy? Maybe those glasses they served it in were not optimal ( I used tulips at home) I don't know. It was less satisfying than the bottle version.

I gave up after one half pint and had a couple of their excellent Bill Norris-inspired cocktails.

 

Petrol will have 'Enjoy by' on tap today, along with Deviant Dales, Burton Baton & Ranch DIPA per FB.

 

Pinthouse Pizza on Burnet has Enjoy By on tap. $7 for 12oz snifter. Damn tasty stuff! (grab a pizza while there, so good!)

Is this still available at CM Westgate? Thinking I need to pickup at least 2 more bottles before the end of teh world.

 

Not sure about CM but the Valero at Barton Skyway had ~4 on the shelf at 2pm today.

Any of this stuff in Houston besides downtown Specs?

I've been trying at my 2 easy stops (Specs 290/Jones and Specs Westheimer/Kirkwood). D&Q didn't get any at all.

 

Austin peeps, Bangers and Mash on Rainy street has it or had it on tap last week. It taste as close to drinking good pot as anythign I have ever sipped. Strips the enamel right off your teeth.
