Like any good capitalists, OH should be cashing on the hysteria right now. Here you go guys, the first idea's free:

So Fresh, So Green Triple DDH HDTC (High Density 'Tose Charge) Oat Cream IPA
We hit this one with fresh-squeezed Meyer lemon juice for that Lemon Breeze aroma and aged it in empty Purell bottles.
$70/4pk, limit 1 case pp. Max 16 cans per room at any given time.

    I'm looking for broccoli masks.

The difference is not standing there spewing virus in each other's faces. One can wear gloves, handle multiple orders, then just throw the gloves off, wash your hands, and be done. Add some purell for customers to use after handling an ipad and we're all good.

I also found it interesting that Tilted Barn isn't taking cash right now.

    Kane isn’t taking cash either.

I was at the OH release today and there was no such system in place, at least not when I was there.

Lots of these no cash policies: hill farmstead, tree house, trillium, alchemist, I believe; can’t keep track of all of them. Would definitely check before heading out if you want to pay cash (your cash ain’t nothing but trash, as it is said).

not sure I get the no cash system unless they have a contactless card reader so no one handling cards or POS terminals/screens.... not that I use much if any cash anymore anyway.

Drinking one right now. It’s decent. A little more bitter than I’m used to in an OH Ipa. Never heard of Zappa hops before this, it seems to be bringing some old school pine/bitterness.

Is it just me or do most of Other Half’s IPAs look different lately? They’re darker and less OJ-like in appearance as they used to be.

    1) Pretty sure the bong glass was a joke and 2) Tired Hands literally opened a restaurant called St.Oners and just released a beer called Weedeater and is releasing a beer called Grassman tomorrow. So a bong is pretty on brand for them

Well regardless that all sounds pretty lame to me.

There is a joke element, but it's also very real in a General Store logic

+ Monkish played it out on a collaboration some time ago, but this was more of an anecdote/joke

Maybe the irony is totally lost on me, but isn't most of OH's brand and marketing based on weed culture?

Regardless, it is overplayed a bit. Ya'll really like smoking grass...we get it.

Yeah I mean if you don’t like weed references, OH isn’t the place for you. $175 bong glasses though are a step too far haha

I was thinking the same thing with the ACE I drank yesterday. Not as vibrant an appearance as usual. Tasted pretty subdued as well, not very impressed with this batch. Still a really good beer, of course, but the Tesseract I had after was better, even at 6 weeks old.

I don’t think anyone answered your posts, so...I know some places will give you a list of whatever type of oysters they have (i.e. PEI, Blue Point) and a pencil and you put a number next to which oysters you want. Similar to the way Tree House sells their cans.

Serious question - obviously this will force most breweries to close. But would liquor stores be allowed to stay open?

I would guess they’d target breweries and restaurants because people “congregate” there whereas a liquor store or a beer distributor is more of a shop and leave type business.

Yeah that’s what I thought. In which case I wonder if they’ll allow breweries to operate purely as retail. To responsibly do so they would have to scrap the whole GREAT RELEASE THIS WEEKEND GUYS WITH THESE FOUR BANGERS INCLUDING A NEW MONKISH COLLAB WE DID VIA FACETIME, and just have a steady roll of new beers as/when ready

If it’s anything like what’s happening in Spain and Italy right now now they wouldn’t be allowed to stay open. Alcohol consumption drives down your immune system anyway. I believe the mayor can implement a full booze ban if he wanted to.
