Not trying to become the next one but I'll say it's nice to see you inject a little humor. Too often you or the mods step into a forum with the my way or the highway attitude and it just really rubs your users the wrong way. My grandmother always said "You'll catch more flies with sugar than you will with shit" and I apply that to my life daily.

Well, the hell with it: one more. Not like I've got to do much tomorrow at work.

This comes from a time before the shit hit the fan. I was visiting new breweries last Sunday, to drown my sorrows that my vacation got called off (I should be drinking Yuengling with a cute gal in NC at the moment). I went to Fargo, ND, and picked this up in a liquor store there. I've actually been to Hallock, but that was back in my former life as a political operative. The best way to describe it is it's 10 miles away from Canada and North Dakota.


From Revelation Ale Works in Hallock, MN - Blood Orange Wheat. It reminds me of an orange soda pop. If I were younger, this would be a good thing. Today, not so much so.

Pours a very murky hazy gold color. 4 finger white head. Retention is so/so. There's some lacing on the glass as the head dissipates.
The nose is somewhat strange, and really hard for me to describe. I think I get orange on it. I think I get a wheat aroma on it, but I'm just not sure of it. Just weird.
Taste - Hmmm, well ,there's an orange flavor, but it seems artificial to me. It reminds me of when I drank soda pop, and drank orange soda pop. When I was younger I liked it. Today: not so sure.
Feel - Well, there's a crisp feel to this beer. The body seems ok, but the feeling from the orange, which feels artificial, seems to linger in my palate.
Gosh, I'd like to like this beer. I'd love to give it higher marks, but I just think it misses the target.
