I believe they backyard is an open area. People can come and go as they please. Maybe hire some more staff and have them monitor the outside or doors leading into the beer garden. I’m sure they have security cameras outside and in. Looking at my photos from last year there is lots more room inside the beer garden. Throw in some extra tables and chairs you could easily get another 100+ people inside the garden and table sharing. It’s probably a staff thing? Not enough employees to accommodate all the visitors at one time. I wonder how many more people are inside Windsor on an average weekend versus Younger event? If they are going to keep releasing Younger bottles each year they may need to rethink their strategy?

What if they just didn’t release bottles next year? There would be so many heartbroken beer nerds throughout the world.

so if they didn’t sell out of all their bottles, what are they going to do with all of the excess, anyone know?

I've been wondering this myself. I presume sell them on site with a low limit.

I’m pretty sure they did the math for 2 weeks ahead of time so the bottles would last 2 weeks, and 2 weeks only. They’re adamant about drinking then fresh.

I've wondered this and I think they don't want to add temporary staff for two weeks only to let them go after Younger.

what RR brews tend to go to retail around Southern California (riverside)? I'm visiting in may and I've used their 'beer finder' feature on their site to know when I could go , but I'm curious about what to expect on the shelves at various stores in Riverside or Palm Springs

In Riverside, your best bet for bottles will be La Bodega Liquor. Kim is the buyer and will be happy to assist.

In Palm Springs, hit up Bristol Farms and say thanks to Scott, the GM.

thanks for the tips! is it usually just PtE that goes to retail or do other things show up too (like Beatification, Supplication, etc)?

    Cheers!

This time of year, you stand a pretty good chance of scoring some of the Belgian offerings at La Bodega. During the ‘Younger’ season, shipments seem to increase. You will most likely see one of more of the following as well; Elder, Blind Pig and STS Pilsner.

You will most likely only see Elder, STS or the Pig in PS.

Mixed 12s already sold out! I shouldn't have waited. Wish I could have picked and chosen the mix (would have gone with 6 STS and 6 Pigs myself)

Thought R2H56 saw 4pks too during PtY release? I'm inquiring as I didn't make it over there this year.

It did. A friend got some cans of it during the Younger release. Love that beer.

Woah nice I would not mind seeing that. I understand the desire to not dilute the Pliny brand but I would be all over 4 packs of Blind Pig, even if they pushed up toward 20$
