I wasn't clear, I think historically those have been the most swiped zip codes at OH.

There are two UESs. There is the wealthy 5th ave UES in the 60s home of the 1%-ers and then the York and 1st ave UES in the 70-90s, which is all recent grads and 20 somethings who couldn't afford the rent in Brooklyn....and certainly don't have a summer place in the Hamptons.

I wonder why they're doing this themselves rather than going through a company with more established logistics and tools. I get the economics of it can be challenging but most other outfits make it work.

I know I know - it’s just important for me to take a shot at the financeboiz whenever I can (because I am one myself and it helps assuage my guilt)

I'd rather the UES go first for the trial run

@SudsDoctor have you checked Google maps' traffic the past few days? Every damn part of the tri-state is green except the BQE from Hamilton Avenue to the Brooklyn Bridge! Proof that even in the zombie apocalypse it will be impossible to get from Brooklyn to Queens in a reasonable amount of time

EDIT: well, at this moment its not bad, but check again at rush hour and you'll see!

Hard to interpret this as anything other than a personal attack against me.

@jrnyc Universal Beverage just got 5 different OH beers, same price as the brewery. That’ll save you some gas. Tomorrow at 2.

I've exhumed myself simply to amend a philosophical position I'd previously championed. It turns out not all human experience is entirely subjective after all.:flushed:

How a beer tastes to us as individuals? Yes, that'll always differ across people, time, our mood, and other variables.

But what it's like to live in the time of a global pandemic? No, that's objectively shitty for everyone. Only the degree of that shittiness varies.

God bless all those who are on the front lines of battling this disease or bearing its economic brunt. Because our local breweries are one of the latter, I hasten to add that I admire what OH, Grimm, and others have done to take this crisis very seriously, implement safeguards, communicate their plans, and modify their business in such a way as to protect peoples' health and preserve jobs/financial viability as best they can.

It's an unprecedented situation and an impossible line to walk, but they're handling it commendably. Let's continue to do our part to support them so that they're still here when this is all over.
