Is anyone brewing this weekend? I'll be brewing up 24 gallons of a Belgian dark strong.

I brewed 20 gallons already this week. 10 IPA and 10 Porter, almost as much as the great ventura78.

The IPA is almost done and would free up a fermenter. I would like to brew an all Pearle malt Barleywine to make up for this disaster.

That will give me the starter wort for some Weizenbock. The Weizenbock will give me starter for a BDSA. By then I will need more IPA.

10 gallons of English Barleywine for Christmas presents (Marris, Dark & Medium Crystal, and Aromatic malts, Turbinado, EKG, WY1099). 10 gallons of amped up Milk/Sweet Stout (~9% ABV) with and without chai spices and vanilla beans. Should be fun provided it stops raining.

I'm brewing a Surly Bender recipe from Northern Brewer on Saturday. Can't decide if I want to make it a Coffee Bender. I guess I'll have at least a week to decide....

Based from your avatar, I'd go and make it a Moe's Bender (Coffee Bender with Vanilla and Cocoa). Never been able to really enjoy Bender nearly as much as its coffee infused brothers.

Dry hopping the pale ale I brewed on Thanksgiving weekend. After that, I might just drink one or two out of a previous batch.

Doing an all grain 6.5 gallon Belgian blonde ale (belg. pils, aromatic, wheat, honey at FO, NZ Hallertau at 60, Citra dry hop, and WY3711). I've had real good luck with this recipe for comps

Brewing with some neighbors. One guy has never brewed and the other has only brewed extract batches, to my knowledge. We'll be doing a 12 gallon Amber. Pretty excited.

Just transferred my IPA to secondary last night and cold crashed. Dry hopping tonight/tomorrow then keg hopping later on. This weekend I will attempt to step up yeast from some Heady Topper... lets see how that works out. Next week I will be brewing my pale wheat ale with Nelson and Galaxy Hops.

Brewing an all grain version of Stone's Levitation ale, but having trouble finding the crystal hops so I may have to go without them. They are a 0 min aroma addition from what I've read so I hope I don't loose much, may just bump up the Simcoe.....

When it starts/stops raining here, I think my 8 gals of Ned Flanders on Acid Ale will finally get brewed and barreled.
Just getting ready to gas up my Barleywine from this Summer.

    Cheers

Yeah, no kidding. The minute after I ordered 80 lbs of grain and decided to do this, I realized I was making a bad decision. But hey, if its hot/boozy, I can just give everyone bottles from a 3 month old keg of IPA I forgot about in my keezer, right?

After "losing" a batch of a 9.1% DIPA that was choked full of Amarillo, Citra, Simcoe, Cascade and Magnum, due to a fucking hose clamp dropping in the keg and making it taste like rebar.

So, I've got APA/IPA grain bill put together with some 2 row and munich and some crystal that I'll probably do tonight. Go on a whim, and probably do Amarillo, Belma, and Citra. But I might do Belma/Cascade/Galaxy.

or be lazy and use Galaxy and Belma, both hops I have never used, and just wing it into the unknown.

Saturday morning, I'll probably try and fire up the kettle again, early in the morning.

I've got a bill for a nice APA.. I think I've nailed down the recipe for Oddsides Citra Pale Ale.. So I'm gonna do that one as I've gotten it all ready to go and have all the stuff I need.

Probably gonna keg my Chocolate Porter, and maybe dump my maple nut brown that I just flat out don't like, and put my RIS on line.

Maple always sounds like a good idea. I have yet to come across one that really has nailed it. Still, hate to see homebrew go to waste... :slight_frown:

I dont think I'm going to brew this weekend. I have several going right now, and might take the time to rack/clean/organize this weekend. My Imperial Milk Stout is going to get a dose of vanilla bean and creme brulee cold pressed coffee at some point, but it still has a small krausen on it. My Belgian Single (aka the starter for my Belgian Strong) still has some activity too. I think I'm going to rack it into my oak barrel Sunday and take out the American Amber that has been in there for way, way too long.

I kegged a Saison last night that I used the WL Saison III yeast on. Good lawd that shit is flocculant!! I tried washing some and putting into a jar, but it was so stuck to the bottom of the bucket I was hardly able to fill a small jar with the slurry. I wanted 2 jars, but barely got 1. My FG got down to 1.007, which is a little higher than most of my Saisons, but it tastes pretty good so far. The esters and phenols seem a bit lower than my 565 and 3711 beers, but I'm excited to see how it tastes after it's fully carbed. It was definitely the clearest Saison I've kegged to date.

I have some ECY20 (Bug County) that I really want to use on a Lambic soon. The turbid mash is something I've never done, so I'm researching that a bit more.
