    HOMES Cynosure (Apricot/Mango). This was amazing! Sour Hazy DIPA. Lasting rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge tart apricot, mango, fruit skin, orange, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, honeydew melon, passion fruit, papaya, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, and light peppercorn/pine hops; with moderate wheat, white bread dough, light honey/toasted malts; lacto funk, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang; and pine, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy/bready malts, some lactic acid, fruit tang, and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering tart/bitter dryness; zero puckering/astringent flavors. Super smooth/soft, minimal warming 8.4%. Amazing Citra profile. Extremely juicy hops/fruit with light dank/earthy notes; with a nice sized wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering tart/bitter dryness. Notes say there is vanilla, but I didn't see any. HOMES nailed it out of the park once again! 4.4

    Fibonacci Brewing (Mt. Healthy, OH) The Noid Irish Red Ale- excellent ale brewed with their own honey. Bottle purchased during a just-pre-covoid trip to the Cincinnati area. I will always be thankful for that trip! Last time I had an actual pint of beer handed to me to date!

    No doubt. Rich beerland down there! One of the hardest things about this virus bs is no Ill beer runs and fresh Hop Butcher.

    look: 4.25 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4.25 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.25

    Pours a peach color. Very hazy and murky. 1 finger slightly off white head. The head retention is decent. Minimal lacing on the glass.
    The nose is very fruity actually. Tons of raspberry on the nose. Very little in the way of hops, even though it's a triple IPA.
    Taste - Tons of raspberry in the flavor also. A nice smooth lactose flavor mixed in to it. Just the faintest hint of hops on the backside.
    The body is thick and smooth. There's just a bit of a tingle in my throat from the carbonation. It doesn't drink like a 10%+ beer at all.
    Damn good beer, and I'm glad I got to enjoy it.

    Hitting up the local players as much as possible right now, and I'm glad I did. This red IPA from Back Unturned Brewing is pretty damn good. Lots of blonde roast coffee followed by kick ya in the mouth pine and citrus.

    Jack's Abbey - Copper Legend

    Scored a 6pk of these for under $4. This is my first time around with anything from these guys, but this is a pretty nice Oktoberfestbier. Not too sweet or heavy, with a really nice bready backbone. I'll have to try more from these guys. Any suggestions?

    I hear ya. This will all pass before you know it and you will be able to grab as much fresh HB as your heart desires (or your wallet allows). They crank them out every week, you're not missing out on anything man.

    A little bit of age has done nothing to diminish the glory of this beer. The ‘wow-factor’ is still there. Absolutely incredible beer. Cheers![​IMG]
