It goes live at 11am for Alexandria and 3pm for Herndon...that's their plan anyway

 

Now delivering beer for $10, $75 minimum order, VA only. Selection of cans is getting low though, seems like they've dialed back the number of releases recently.

 

I give them credit for making the effort. I do wonder if this is another nail in the coffin for the mug club though.

 

The mug club was only worthy of the $250 back when you had to wait in line to get any of their beers. None of the following are worth my money so maybe there are benefits not listed here.

Can anyone comment on the current canned version of DOS? Debating whether or not to get a few 4 packs delivered to ride out the pandemic...

Didn't see it posted but Aslin's making a Richmond delivery run Saturday for those in the area...

- Delivery area will be limited to inside the Richmond beltway.
- All orders must be placed by 11:59pm Thurs 3/19 for Saturday 3/21 delivery
- Deliveries will be Saturday, March 21st from 12-7pm and purchaser must be 21+ and present at the time of delivery with valid ID.

Anyone try the Aslin delivery yet? Appears they lowered the price of their beers.

 

Yes. Was lucky enough to get in an early order. I was able to get double and triple orange starfish. Received the delivery the next day. Rich Girl sucks.

 

yeah, $13 four packs for IPAs and $11for the lagers is nice, DIPAs still at $20 though

 

Given that you've been a little down on Aslin, do you have friends that try batches before you make an order like this? Just curious.

 

For obvious reasons, it's not feasible for Aslin to have people lining up for Saturday stout releases right now. Based on the recent uptick in release frequency on their flagship IPAs, I suspect they're taking this as an opportunity to dial in their hop game on the new system. At least something good may be coming from the present circumstances.

I'm sure most people following this thread know but Aslin just opened up Shipping throughout VA & DC this morning. No minimum order qty, 2 case max and shipping seems reasonable. Did a couple sample orders and living in Central VA it came to 1/2 case = $18.56, 1 case = $22.63, 2 cases = $35.26 shipped to my house.


Now if they go The Veil route they could realize shipping calculations were off and costs may double in a few days once they actually send a few out and get actual costs back from the shipping carrier.
