Checking in with a Space Diamonds update (can 3/4). Still about where it was before IMO if a little more citrusy and less earthy (promising). Will probably hold onto my last can for another two weeks as I wind down my Forever Simcoe stash with an occasional Triple Cream and whatever I pickup next (fingers crossed Mo+Mo).

    Happy Quarantining everyone!

Can't remember if I like Mosaic+Montueka. Will just stock up on Broccoli.

More Citra tasting solid. Can’t imagine having more than 1-2 cans of it though. While OH does triples better than anyone, they are too sweet to have on a regular basis for me. All Citra is perfection for me.

Was having a friendly discussion with a buddy: ACE vs Space Diamonds. For me, these are the two best beers they make (A Julius vs Green if you will) I’ll always be a galaxy guy and the best batches of SD>>>best batches of ACE. But I do believe ACE is overall more consistent

I think based on the dynamics to date it will be called A Big Rock Up My Back Canal

    there will be two versions

Rochester release - double ipa, no tose, citra + galaxy

Brooklyn - imperial kettle sour with captain crunch, coconut, toasted coconut, coconut milk, almonds, lactose, wild Thai bananas and hand picked pineapple

DDH Mylar out today. Also Deep Orbit Red Shift (Fluffernutter) running low and any stout drinkers holding back really ought to snag a bottle while they can (I'm getting more today I puts my money where my beer goes!).

Fool me once (SD), twice (ACE), three times (Mylar), shame on me  Will not be fooled a 4th time! Hopefully this is an aberration and these beers return to their former greatness. Or maybe not?

Wonder what is going on here?

    1) My palate is old and decrepit
    2) New brewers
    3) took their eye off the ball and too much focus on tose and pastries and no focus on making great beer
    4) Corporate overlords are bean counting and that is impacting beer
    5) etc, etc etc

    1) is a given. I don’t have enough facts to speculate on the rest

I dunno...I didn't think the last batch of ACE was THAT bad.
