Stouts are "stout porters", so by inference, porters are weak stouts.

I thought the correct reply is:
"...And nothing to get hung about..."

I'd like to know who changed their vote after reading all the comments and which one comment did it.

That film gave me a bad case of airsickness.
(Being on a plane contributed to that, I suppose, since it happens regardless of the movie).

    Precisely.

So an imperial stout is a stout stout while a porter is a session stout unless its branded as an imperial porter in which case it may be either a stout or stout stout especially in the case of Baltic porters, imperial Baltic session stouts aside....

Complicated, or complex? I don't mind my beer being complex, but complicated is just too much work.

I like both. But Stout for sure.

I think it's easy to tell the difference between the 2.

I'm friends with him on Untappd...he's pretty active still, however his scathing analysis of our vastly inferior US-beer scene seems to have waned. He's the hero we need.

EDIT: Oh, and my answer is Stout Porter.

I prefer stouts if we're talking about huge imperial stouts like Ten Fidy; if we're talking about lower abv ~6% dark beer I tend to prefer porters, e.g. Bell's Porter. If that makes any sense.

Or I could just say I like them both.
