Snifter or a tulip can accommodate any beer style.

I use a beer glass like the one that was illustrated by MNale abov. I'm drinking from a similar (11 oz) "saison dupont viellle provision" now. I like it because it is similar to the sham pilsner glasses I drank from at taverns after turning 21 in Oregon in '69. It is fairly stable on a surface and easy to hold. I will gladly sacrifice an optimum aroma and appearance in return for not spilling the brew on my lap or the table. I see nothing good in a klunky shaker glass. As an aside, I gave my brother-in-law (I do like him) a gift of a scandinavian glass that had a rounded bottom that is stable only in a wood holder that was supplied with the glass. Elegance without practical application

I really like this and will try to find it if it's no longer for sale by Avery.

I'm a tulip fan, it works for many styles. These Libbey tulips I bought off Amazon are fairly sturdy

The viking horn is the best. The choice of barbarians for the last 1,000 years +

    And they are sustainable!

My local (awesome) beer bar does that. They have reduced the amount of pilfered glasswear many-fold

-not a popular choice, but I favor the plastic govino tumblers outdoors and in the shop.
The shape works well enough for many brews and no breakage ( and there is a thumb indentation).

Duvel tulip as many others have already mentioned. That said, I drink most of my beers out of an oversized red wine glass from Ikea these days.

Anything but a shaker pint, absolutely hate them as a beer vessel. The main strengths are durability and the ability to stack, critical for the bar owner, but a generally lousy vessel to consume beer, in my opinion of course.

I ogle that glass every time I see it, simplicity at its finest. I might have to drop a hint to the wife. What’s perfect is in the eye of the beholder, that’s perfection.

Dale, do you have an upcoming birthday?
Yup, she is a beauty (as Steve Irwin would say).

    Cheers!

The most versatile beer glass is the one you pour most to all your beers into. :sunglasses:

That works out. It’s probably the next time we can leave the house.
