    Good day Advocates!

Taking this rare opportunity to enjoy the privilege of kicking off today's thread.

This pic's got everything, including the kitchen sink.

Have a good hump day, and enjoy a beer at the official internet bar. My life is partially ruined at this 5 minutes, Unemployment refuses to give me any benefits, so I am glad my parents are keeping me from being homeless. This state legal system is a bunch of dirt. It’ll be recoverable once the quarantine falls out. I am receiving 1-2 call backs per week from my resume, which is a good sign. Just going to keep throwing my name out there.

Anyways I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube over the night. Mostly people reviewing microwave/fast food, it’s strangely addicting. Same with consumer electronic tear down/assembly. I am going to learn how to solder soon just for fun. I need to fix my guitar amp power supply anyways. A bit of Counter Strike going on as well. Been rotating through my large library of games. I’ve been slacking on the reviewing but I still have a good lot left to go through. Tavour will send me a little bit more at the end of the month. The T storms last night hit Ohio harder than up here.

The Bruery Bakery: Cherry Pie. Amazing pastry stout. Lasting rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of huge juicy/tart/tangy red/black cherries, fruit skin/pits, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cinnamon, almonds, toasted biscuit, and dark/brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of molasses, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, coffee, dark fruits, smoke, char, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roasted earthiness. Light herbal, grassy, peppery, roast, charred bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation and full body; very creamy/silky/velvety/bready malts, some acidity/tang/tannins, light chalky/sticky/slick mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/tart/tangy dryness; no cloying/acrid/astringent flavors. Dangerously smooth/soft. Mild increasing warmth of 10.2%, minimal lingering booziness. Not much barrel at all, but the rest of the beer is spot on stuff. Perfectly balanced super jammy cherries, vanilla, cinnamon, and rich malts; light earthy hops and restrained fruity yeast. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Not sure if I would have preferred more barrel, really could not have done it much better than this. 4.4

New Caligula’s Horse LP out next month! Just discovered the single. Fun fact, both guitarists play Music Man JP7s all the time; which is a 100% want to buy guitar for me. They play them in Drop-A tuning. :sunglasses:

I've just discovered I can put a Piezo bridge pickup in my SG! You can buy tune-o-matic bridges off Ebay with the electronics in there for $50, then I just need to get a mini pre amp chip. Hopefully I can fit the whole thing in the cavity and wire it to the current jack. Don't want to be doing too much drilling into the body as it is. Probably will need to put in another 2 way switch for it to work. I hear it's recommended to toss one of the tone pots out for the volume control, so I'll have to rewire that as well. Could look for a schematic, but I can always make my own. :nerd:

Lagunitas Born Yesterday. Still tasting amazing. Flavors of huge red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, biscuit, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky/resinous hops in the mouthfeel. Crisp/drying finish and never astringent on bitterness. Amazing juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy balanced hop profile; with a clean pale malt backbone. Refreshingly drinkable for an IPA. Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic hops this year. Used to have Equiniox for years, but I guess they couldn't find much this year. Still have a whole other pack left, need to get some Waldos soon.

I usually tend to ignore John Kimmich's advice to drink Heady out of the can. It's a beautiful beer and I want to have a holistic experience when drinking it. Poured into a Lawson's Willi Becher as it's the only Vermont brewery glassware I have. This beer at just over a week of age is insane. There are some flavors and aromas I don't recall from my previous encounters with it.

Good day. Had to bag early from the thread yesterday because all my Zoom meetings got back-loaded to afternoon and evening (twats). In any case, back here, and ready again. Beautiful day on tap here - 70 - and this Soulcraft X-Ray IPA is drinking mighty fine too. Onions and garlic never scare me in a beer, and this one has that. Cheers!

    Also, kittens. Grisette playing optometrist.
And... to John Prine, man - all the best...
