Twin Elephant Brewing Co. (2020)

I have only opened mine within a couple days, but I suspect 10days to 2 weeks is still fine as long as the seal is good. They seem to have these literally filled to the brim with almost no headspace, so unless the can is not sealed, I can't see it getting oxidized or losing CO2.

 

Never had the answer so I can't speak to the comparison. I thought this was enjoyable - but lacking a little something. I picked up 3 of these (1 for a friend) and it's a beer where I feel like "cool I have another one" but at the same time if I didn't have another crowler I wouldn't be like "damn I wish I had another"

For reference I recently had Troon's Agoraphobia and I thought Troon definitely had a better beer in this scenario.

With that said, still very much looking forward to cracking open poison the well.

And can't wait for LSY cans to go on sale.

 

Me to, but it seems they haven't unless they are already sold out.

 

They put the cans on before ordering opens, true believers/weepel, and StM, were the same. They'll always announce it on Instagram before the sales open.

I'm surprised they didn't announce yesterday. But I suspect LSY and SY should be available for pickup when they open next week, unless they do an Easter drop.

 

@bryantc3 I don't have Instagram so I've just kept checking. guessing you are right and they are not coming on today.

Also RE: a few post ago about when StM sold out. They mentioned on Instagram that they held back a few cases until the original sold out to ensure they didn't over sell - then they put up the remaining cases.

in case there was any confusion - I am referring to alerts for when LYS or SY get put on the store. These alerts are different from their old Thursday emails where they announce new beers.

 

Poison the well is damn delicious. Got a good mounds vibe going. The coconut comes through nicely - but not overpowering or medicinal/artificial like many other coconut beers are.

 

ah ha! i thought i'd missed the can drop..i'll keep an eye out for that LSY.

On IG comments early in the week they mentioned potential for cans on Easter Sunday. They did The Swarm on Easter Sunday Last year. Kind of weird to do that but I’m close enough it’s no big deal.

However now that it’s 9pm and still no announcement I’m beginning to think it won’t be for tomorrow pickup if/when it drops. But who knows.

 

same. I really liked the original when it was really piney. Last batch while good was quite different with Belgian yeast and homey. This current description read more like the original but still has honey. Will have to check it out.

 

jedi mind tricks was absolutely killer for what its worth... stands up to the best TIPAs ive had from other half and eq...maybe not the best but it's not far off. so balanced

Picked up a crowler if Chingas today (like the new labels), which is more a return to form of the og. They were actually running a canning line while there. Said will prob release LSY tonight for wed pickup.

 

LSY available, 1 case pp, $18/4pk. Either pick up this evening or starting Wednesday

 

Anyone else having trouble with the website? When placing an order it keeps taking me to a shipping page then telling me they can't ship.

I had this issue and reached out to them on Instagram and I don't know what they did but it worked after that.

 

sent them a FB message just now. looks like LSY has sold out during this time i wasn't able to order..pretty annoying

 

i'm surprised it went that quickly considering they had at least 130 allotments if everyone maxed out... Could just be holding some back like they did for StM. I'd keep an eye no it..

Though this being sold out does make it easier for me to decide whether I wanted to get Kane delivered this week or not.
