frankly I'm surprised it took as long to sell out as it did! All the other recent cans seemed to go in ~3-4 hours, and those only had 4- 4pk allotments.. this allowed 1 case. And arguably their most popular beer.

 

i'd assume that as they release more and more - individuals may buy fewer limits due to packed fridges and/or the slow down of the "trading game". For example I maxed true belivers/weepel but skipped StM since i was stocked up. Today I got 3x 4pks of LSY and will skip SY. I'd imagine as Kane breaks into the delivery in the area this week - some beer dollars may go that way depending on what's available. I was debating between the two for a bit; but went with LSY this time around.

with that said they did add some more to the shop.

It seems that if you don't have instagram and answer ASAP you get shut out, the cases sell out more or less at once.

 

If you don't have IG, check here... but FWIW, pretty sure Little Shimmy Ye was available nearly 24 hours...

I will say the "sign up to be notified" e-mail link was bogus though... never got anything

 

As mentioned - They put their beer up in two "Waves". First wave usually goes within 1-4 hours. Second wave is their last and this is posted up to 24-36 hours after initial drop, this wave lasted most of Monday.

this thread is generally updated when they do their announcement, it also is posted on their facebook.

 

Grabbed my LSY, got there around 5:45ish for a 5-6 slot and had a few cars in front and a few behind, but process went very quick.

It sucks it had to take a pandemic to happen - but I have 5 different TE beers sitting in my fridge right now...kinda amazing.

 

I’ve thought of that as well. How strange it is that it’s easier not only for me to have certain beers but to have them delivered to me. The irony.

 

Picked up mine around 1:15 yesterday, no one there besides me. Pretty painless..if only I could keep the beer around long enough to have multiples in my fridge! Popped a LSY last night, tasted pretty righteous - no head though like a lot of their canned beers. Saving my crowler of Chingas for tomorrow

 

LOL i did max weepel/true believers so they're still hanging around. also counted PTW and a Ripen the pint that I'm holding onto for a friend.

Yeah...no head on LYS at all and kinda seemed as bit green to me, belma was super strong in it too which I know can be a polarizing hop. Still a solid beer - but I think i'll forgo a can today and revisit it over the weekend.

alright can pour has some good head and this beer is firing on all cylinders right now.

 

i usually leave the beer about a week before opening. may have to open another tomorrow though now

Well that went fast

 

It seems like if you are not on the internet 24/7 you get shut out. I didn't see the E-Mail until about 8:30 last night and the cans were GWTW by then. I hope this is a sign that Twin Elephant will make it through the shut down. That's all that matters at this point.

 

they made a comment that this was a smaller run so it went fast, and that more cans coming next week... The Swarm is already up on the site (note for sale yet), so that's clearly on deck.

 

I think it's stared on their Facebook page it was 80 cases. Doesn't matter could have been 200 and would not last to see a second day.

 

i think TE has been doing a really good job with splitting up the releases. They learned a lesson from their first run during pandemic (TB/Weepel) and have been doing a initial release of beer and then a few days later releases some more cases of the same beer. Given the smaller run for SY - that may not happen here. But I was able to get LSY during the second wave; and I believe someone in here mentioned getting StM a day or two later.

I do have to agree though - the volume of beer they have been releasing and selling is just crazy. It's a good thing they got the upgrades online before shit really hit the fan.

This week should be interesting. Other than swarm being on deck; they just have chingas up for growlers/crowlers (I know crowlers mentions GF but can't select anything..) I'm hoping for some fun drops.

 

Shimmy Ye' is killer... still a touch green, but big mouthfeel and super dank and hoppy.
