i was in argonaut today, knowing theirs was coming in. guy told me there was already a list assembled of people who had been calling. i had $100 worth of beer in my cart and hoped that would help my chances but he returned to say the list was full. still glad to grab a rueuze and b.a. hibernation, pte, etc.

So glad I skipped that.

 

The one time I went to a Lukas Cantillon release i was ten minutes early and second in line.That's why I'm thinking ill also skip Zwanze day. I already got a set of Zwanze glasses in CA, my cuz bought me a t-shirt from the brewery, and I've got bottles of Cantillon for years. No point in getting down in the mud with the hoi polloi.

 

Got a St. Gill at Total Westy today. They also had/may still have kriek and classic in 375's

 

Oh wow I'm glad I stopped after 2 stores didn't have any. I bought some Upslope Christmas instead, which is awesome. I had no idea people wanted Cantillon this badly, they definitely should get it over me. I wanted it the same amount I wanted Upslope Christmas...

 

Was a 1 bottle limit. I was 5th in line and got a fou 2010. Imagine some left empty handed. Cannot imagine the madness that is going to go down tomorrow...

 

The Fou Foune was 2010? That sucks.

 

2010? Wonder if they had that in the cellar and put the 2012 away for another day, instead bringing out the older stuff?

Yup, they got in 6xfou 6xclassic and 12xkriek375s.
They released: 3xfou 1xold fou, 12x kriek 375s, 2xold Iris' an old LP Kriek, 750 Rose and 3xClassic 750s. 23 bottles in total.
The other beers came out of employees private stashes, they probably traded some of them for some of the new fous.
Interesting way to do the release... I showed up around 2:15 and was second in line

Yes, heard its better fresh. But it was 2010, or no fou, and that's what i went for, and ive never had it. Happy to get something, and had a good time line for an hour. Wish i would have gotten a fresh one, but still happy to get one at all.
