Online shipping in VA / DC is back Live.......Tomorrow's release will be available for order at 7am tomorrow, 4/7.
    _____________________________________
We are back online for shipping packaged cans and bottles directly to the Virginia areas outside of our delivery range as well as DC!!! Per Virginia ABC we will be able to ship up to 2 cases of packaged beer to any individual 21 or older ⠀

    - You can place your order by going to www.theveilbrewing.com and then click on the STORE tab. ⠀
    - From there it will redirect you to our new Webstore that will have all of our current inventory of packaged beer as well as merchandise available to order. ⠀
    - We will only be shipping to Virginia and DC. We will make an announcement to everyone if that plan changes. ⠀
    - *All orders that include packaged beer must be purchased by persons 21 or older. Shipments will require signature and government issued ID upon delivery.⠀
    - *There will be a 3x 4-pack minimum per order (we will count 1 bottle as 1 4-pack. For example 2x 4-packs and one bottle will meet the minimum. We are using shippers that can ship up to 12 cans. So, we recommend purchasing beer in 3x 4-pack increments to maximize on shipping costs. ⠀
    - *All orders placed on Friday will not be shipped out until the following Monday to prevent any shipments sitting in warehouses over the weekend.
    - *It will take 2-4 business days for orders to be processed and go out for shipment. ⠀
    - *All orders placed that are under the minimum 3x 4-packs or over the 2 case limit will automatically be cancelled and refunded.⠀

New releases will be posted at 7am tomorrow Please visit the Beer Details page in our Webstore for FAQ around or beer shipping policies and procedures. Thank you for your continued support!

"Hey folks! Here’s an update regarding our 4th anniversary.

    - Due to safety and health concerns regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, in conjunction to Governor Northam’s stay-at-home order, we will be postponing our 4th Anniversary Celebration.

    - We will be releasing some cans that we had intended on releasing during the last week of April, but all of the special bottles and merchandise will be held until a later date TBD.

    - We will try and give everyone as much notice as possible of when we plan on having the event. - We appreciate your understanding and are unbelievably overwhelmed by everyone’s continued support during these difficult times.

Thank you to anyone who has ordered beer for shipping, delivery, and have visited our taprooms for outdoor to-go sales. We are incredibly grateful for the support"

Veil had a blanket response for those who asked about the increase. Makes sense b/c I thought last week's was low after I looked and some other breweries in the area that have been shipping or are starting to and noted what they expected shipping to cost. Some are offering flat rate shipping of cases at a rate of $25-$35 while others are being a little more precise and actually taking into account zip code being shipped to and weight based on what's ordered. Those last week that were able to get in before shipping got pulled back got a good deal.

"we unfortunately had our shipping calculating incorrectly and those who ordered last week were paying much less than what shipping actually costed us. We ate a lot in shipping costs last week to make sure we didn’t have to refund every order, have folks reorder again, and to also make sure orders weren’t significantly delayed. We hope you can understand as we work out the kinks in a complete 180 of our current business model during these difficult times."

Haha, Veil must be shipping quite a bit, no dirt nap available here in NFK an hour after open on its release day.

Most must have been shipped. The RVA site was updated 22mins after opening yesterday and DN was not part of that update.

Would be nice if this pandemic caused them to brew more of their best sellers that don’t come around too regularly and less experimental / first time beers. (I’m looking at you so-called Flagship, Crucial Taunt!)

It looked like half the staff was packing boxes, really surprised this sold out so quickly but glad to see these breweries adapt and survive.

Yeah agreed, whatever it takes to get them through to the other side is cool with me. I live like 2 mins away, but maybe I have to get delivery next time too.

So when does Veil accept that things aren’t going to go back to normal and realize they should put the anni bottles online? I know they said they won’t do this, but I can’t see things changing tremendously by say, September of this year.

There is apparently a huge line at Veil right now. I’m surprised no one has called the police on them.

That’s awful and Veil should in no way be allowing or encouraging that type of behavior

They only posted changes caused by Covid after 2 IG posters called them on it the week before their event in DC. They don’t seem too concerned. Hell, isn’t Vitamin Sea in Mass. still doing lineups?

Not sure about Vitamin Sea. And I hope no one read into my post that the people lining up are absolved from any blame as well. Both sides are to blame here. Seriously what release is worse risking someone’s health over?? None that I can think of

Post on BTV mentioned Veil just suddenly closed down and said they would re-open at 3pm. Seems odd. maybe ABC or law enforcement caught wind of it. Can't really miss a hoard of people on a sidewalk in broad daylight
