Half Acre (2020)

I thought this Navaja had great flavor, just can't get past 16oz of it. It's a boozy 8%.

Crocus on the other hand drinks like the TG hoppy stuff. Yum.

 

I think the news is worse - Navaja is 10% - so who needs that Lags Waldo's Special Ale when you have this around.

 

LOL, it is a big, boozy DIPA, but I have no problem going through 2-3 of these pints from my keg right now, over a couple hours. So good.

 

That explains why it was lights out after 1

 

It's rough stuff and drinks too smoothly. Was on my ass, down the stairs, on the Addison Brown L platform after having a few Navajas back in 2017. Ouch.

 

I hope they have the Big North early the moment the city/state okay large gatherings. We need it!

 

Heck yeah to this sentiment - hope to make it (again). Been to BN twice. Great time. Just need to figure out my professional *cough* pretext to be there. Solidarity!

 

I've never had it until today, but Navaja is a fantastic 10% DIPA without all that Haze craziness found in every IPA that releases these days. The malt shines through and it all goes down way too easy. Half a glass in and you're taking notice.

Riot of Color sounds very interesting. When will Goneaway and Vallejo be back? I have been out of the loop.

 

Those are both kind of retired. Bodem is now taking both of their places. It is rumored you’ll see small batches of each released from the brewpubs but I wouldn’t expect distrobution

 

Also, Fader is now year round and is in 6 pack 12 oz cans.

Thinking out loud, the prospect of having relatively fresh Bodem, Tome, and Fader in my fridge is a pretty attractive idea...

Anyone here try A Riot of Color or Seer yet? Very few ratings but both look pretty good.

 

Half Acre is doing 32 oz. growler fills of Catch Hell, per their Twitter. Hell of a beer if you missed out on cans!

 

If I lived nearby, I'd be getting my fill. Catch Hell is awesome and I'm down to my last can.

 

Holy F! Buy, Buy, Buy. Amazing beer. Or at least it was a few months ago.
