Other Half (2020)

Kinda off-topic; I only say ‘kinda’ because there’s delicious Pilsner in my now borderline-obese belly as I type this (thank you, work from home!)....that qualifies as beer-related, right?


My company recently had to switch banks from [large Spanish bank] to a much smaller regional bank simply because [large Spanish bank] couldn’t manage to get their heads out of their asses for the PPP loan applications. They still aren’t taking applications. The fact we happened to have another account with the smaller bank was a life saver because now our application with the SBA is being processed and we should be good to go, barring any bullshit. If we stuck with [large Spanish bank] we’d be fucked.

 

Yeah I’m surprised that the Hamptons haven’t been in their delivery rotation

All Strata Everything Imperial IPA (8.5%) Strata is one of the best new hops on the market with strong fruit and weed notes. $18 a four pack? Interesting. I don't keep up with their prices, so everyone correct/ridicule me as appropriate -- aren't their All XYZ Everything series usually $20, then bumped up per HDHC/Hop Daddy treatments?

 

DDH ACE is $20, All Cashmere was $18 so seems right.

That's awesome to see. Bring all those furloughed employees back to a little closer to normalcy. hope every small business (including my own) can start to move in that direction!

Via IG, new beer released today... All Strata Everything! an 8.5% beer at an $18/4 price point. I promised my wife (much hotter than @RauchbierFan33 's by the way) that I wouldn't go higher than 18/4 in hard times, so this makes me quite happy

 

Those IPAs would have been brewed...5 weeks ago, right?...seems a little late...

Strata has been either really really well done or a disaster in beers where its the sole hop that I have had. I really love This is Strata by EQ, would love to try this, but it seems its not in the cards!

 

My favorite beer this year was a Wet-Hopped all Strata from Cloudburst in Seattle during the hop harvest. Never had Strata before and it blew me away. But, it was also just harvested and brewed within a few days...

 

I love the wet-hopped beers I've been able to sample, definitely hope we see more of that in the coming years. Anyone try All Together and can offer their opinion? If someone tries other brewery's versions too would be curious how they compare. Doubt that I'll spring for multiple 4 packs of this.

 

I’ll probably grab a 4 pack of OH version as well as maybe one or two others

Would be really cool to compare the same recipe brewed at a different location

 

was thinking the same thing... hoping to grab a few locals to me and do the same

 

I wont be able to try OHs version, but from what I have seen so far in NJ, it seems some of the breweries used the recipe as a base but changed a few things to make it more their own. I have gotten the Carton version, the Icarus version is being delivered tomorrow and I will seek out the others close to me if I can.

 

Would really like to know the details for the collab IPA before I buy for a Saturday delivery
