Wow, fabulous pic!!! Yes, please drink the growler ASAP...it is Boneyard Hop Venom, and hopefully it will rock your hop-world. And the chocolate coins...so when we get to the 8th (or maybe the 9th, cuz of the growler?), pull one coin out of the pouch each night and then open the corresponding beer. Fun, right?!? Yes, I have the sense of humor of a 5-year-old.

Oh, and I gotta say...I didn't send you a pink dreidel because you're a woman...I can honestly say that's the only one my wife & I had from last year.

Man, hell naw!!! Much like my sense of humor, my wrapping skills are roughly on-par with a 5-year-old. But I used holiday-neutral wrapping paper, so that's gotta mean something!

    Right?!?

I love the coins! Plus my kids are excited because now they can play along too.

The hop venom sounds awesome. We will be cracking that open tonight. Thanks so much!!

Picking up the growler today. Not sure what I'll be getting, but it will be certainly tasty. Looking to ship out Monday to my target. Luckily they don't live too far away!

Okay, box is out for delivery. Growler is for immediate enjoyment, feel free to open the fedex padded envelopes, the bottles are wrapped within them as well!

I'm guessing this is me! Didn't see a BA name in the box, but it's from Colorado, was delivered today, and growler was marked for immediate open...

So... the growler is Upslope Whiskey Barrel Aged Stout. Awesome - never even heard of this brewery, and you can't go wrong with a BA stout... As recommended, it is in the fridge and will be opened tonight! I didn't unwrap the Fedex padders yet because I wasn't sure if the bottles were wrapped or not underneath. Once I do I'll grab a picture... Also included were some gold coins and a box of latke mix - fun!

Now I just have to wait for a week to open the bottles. :grimacing:

Yep, that one is from me. Upslope is a newish brewery in Boulder that started up a couple years ago now. The growler is a Stranahan's aged version of their seasonal foreign export stout. Enjoy!

PS. There should also be a dreidel floating around in there somewhere...

You're very welcome, I'm glad you like it! So it's still carbonated? This was my first time shipping a growler, so that + the suspect growler-fill method had me kinda nervous...

It is definitely still carbonated--it held up very well. And excellent job shipping the growler. The first growler I shipped leaked all over, and this one could have been drop kicked and still made it

Indeed there was a dreidel in there - in fact it's the first dreidel I've ever owned.

This growler is drinking beautifully, by the way. I rather enjoy a barrel aged brew that doesn't knock me over the head with booze. I like to review any growlers that people send me, given the effort involved to ship it... it's not up on the site yet, but I'm submitting it as a new beer.

Edit: It's up - apparently I have the power to add beers.
