@SierraNevallagash at what point in the timeline did you post your ISO Fou trying to trade the specific bottles you had purchased for the original trade. I think you ended up locking/deleting the one I’m recalling. Had @Skrip already rejected the trade request or was this just when you had a feeling he wasn’t going to follow through?

Don't quote me, but I think it was directly after I sent the request that was deleted. I posted two ISOs, because one went to shit because of a few select people. I definitely posted at least one of them after the request was rejected, but I'm thinking it was the first one. If not, it was the second.

But he could bring other people’s boxes in the house just this past Saturday and the end of March?:thinking_face:

If it was before, that wouldn’t have set well with me if I was the other trader, especially if I’d asked for more time due to personal reasons. I don’t have all the facts and could be missing something, but just adding perspective as to where things could have soured.

I completely agree with that. It wasn't like that. Not at all. He even messaged me and suggested I try to trade them in the mean time. He also said he might circle back at a later date. Despite asking if the trade was still on before and after that, I genuinely still don't have an answer.

How sure are you that those trades were completed then? Could have happened a month ago and he just got around to doing feedback. Would be worth an explanation.

I’m missing where any of this matters, I was never backing out of the trade, I just have a lot going on and I couldn’t respond as quickly as he expected. Regardless of things being purchased I’m an old school trader and no addresses were exchanged. (This was how we locked in a trade before the trade system was put in place)

honestly at this point i don’t want this guy to have my address. I will send you you a Fou free of charge at some point down the line. Pleas send me your address.

    This.

And @MattOC , happy to do a trade again anytime bud. Hard pressed to understand why you'd end up on someone's DNT list.

I'm going to go beat my head against a wall now.

He's not. I'm not going to DNT someone I've never traded (or attempted to trade) with. Which is why I shouldn't be on his.

I just want to jump in here and add my 2 cents.
I actually set up a trade with @SierraNevallagash and he got the beer I was looking for however I didn’t communicate exactly what quantity I needed to make it work for me. It was my fault for the miscommunication however @SierraNevallagash was able to make it work out with someone else. We didn’t use the trade system, even though we have both plenty of trades. Even though I offered to just complete the trade, he was very flexible in just finding another trade partner. I definitely would trade with him if it came up again, he goes above and beyond to make it work out. I actually had some harsh criticism towards @SierraNevallagash before but I think he just over thinks things and sometimes people’s tone/attitude doesn’t shine through online.

I think from the point of the other trader - me - it begins to look pretty bad. I never used your name, but I quoted our messages together to others, and each one of them said, "Yeah, that guys backing out", so it wasn't just me. "As quickly as I expected" was preferably within a month. When you finally did respond, you said you no longer had the beer, and that you weren't trading, yet you had several open lambic trades in Limited. That looked pretty bad too. When I asked if you were bailing or keeping with the trade, you said you cant get into it, but that you might circle back in the future if you're able to. If I'm asked to purchase beer for a trade, I expect to get something for that beer, and not be stuck holding it. That was almost $50, which isn't pocket change to me. These days, there is a system, and expectations, and you made it sound like you were 100% on board.

I never harassed you. I gave you a month for the weather - two months now, I sent you a trade request, let you know it was warm, gave you some other options I could add, and you didnt reply. Not a problem. Then I saw you posting and opening several lambic/HF trades, and that's when I gave you a friendly nudge, and asked if we were still good. No response. I saw you declined my response, so I gave you some time, came back, and asked for some clarification. When you finally did respond, it was still, "I can't get into it. I'm not accepting boxes and I can't get the bottle yet because of that". That's all you ever gave me, and I think most anyone else would probably draw the same conclusion as I did. Hell, I still don't even know what's going on.

    No addresses exchanged..
No approved trade in the trading system...
Assuming no IP meeting point confirmed what in the hell qualifies this as a closed trade proposition and the other party backing out?

To me it sounds like slandering someone to get a winning trade proposition but I'm sure there is a longer explanation for it.

Just for everyone’s knowledge, always open the trade using the feedback system even though it “might expire”. If there is no feedback by either trader after 90 days it just gets deleted from the queue of open trades and ceases to exist, at which point you send a new request.

Are you accusing me of slandering someone for a "winning" trade proposition?

I am asking you what qualified this as a closed trade proposition? The other party said you did not exchange addresses. You both admit to not opening a trade in the feedback system.

How did you determine this was an agreed upon trade?

By "closed trade" I meant not out in the open forum. Closed within the message. Bad wording on my part. One of us messaged the other about a beer, and then the trade was agreed to from there. I actually did open a trade, it was just much later.

But I'm asking you if that "slandering" comment was directed at me.
