Need feedback on this situation

Because the other trader did not send the correct bottle the second time, this may open up an opportunity for OP to request the Hydra he originally wanted. Should the OP call the other trader out based on this additional information? I suppose it wouldn't do any harm to at least mention it.

 

Not about the “opportunity to request” the HH he originally wanted, it’s about getting it since that was the basis of the original trade.

The person in question, since he isn’t being outed yet, has plenty per his own words from this past Saturday: “Hydra is good, but it's not trading that high due to the amount currently in distro. I mean my local pizza parlor just got several cases and had 6pp limit yesterday so I have a LOT of extra and I know several spots with cases still sitting.”

He should have no problem replacing that HH and then some.

OP @Jag237 , I know you’ve been asked a couple of times, but if you wouldn’t mind sharing:

-what the original 2:2 trade was?
-what was the replacement bottle supposed to be?
-what were the two bottles that actually arrived in the replacement box?

It’s your move to make, but given that the trade system was used and I see you haven’t left feedback yet, this could definitely be escalated to a Bad Trader thread with all the details you’ve provided.

You should be demanding he send you the original deal or a deal you approve of. If there is any more pushback, delay or bottles not received intact, you need to name them as a bad trader and leave feedback accordingly. The fact that one box disappeared and one bottle leaked cant be a coincidence, especially since he says an assistant packed it.

 

Quit beating around the bush in these threads.... trader A had a box “lost.” Trader A then promised another bottle instead. Trader A then sent a diff bottle, as the replacement bottle he promised. That bottle was leaking. Trader A is also lying that he can’t replace original “lost” bottle because he’s bragging how many he still has. THIS IS THE DEFINITION OF A BAD TRADER! JUST CALL THESE TURDS OUT ALREADY AND GET THEM OFF THE SITE

So you’ve asked for advice/feedback and have received it. The consensus is that you start a bad trader thread or at minimum call him out here on this thread. Let him state his side of the story and let’s figure this out for you. Most of here already now who the bad trader is so it’s not a secret. Usually what happens is that the trader will pony up the goods and make it right since it’s all out in the open.

 

Agree with the above. At minimum, it shows that this guy isn't taking it seriously enough to be considered in good standing - not sending an identical replacement with documented claims of multiple extra identical bottles, having someone else (assistant) replace and pack a second box, two damaged/lost boxes, etc.. there's nothing good about this.

 

Context clues are fairly obvious here who the trader is. A quick search of his content shows he A) is bragging about the excess amount of the beer he acquired in question here and availability of it
B) seems like a bit of an asshole to put it lightly.

It's been said previously but it is his responsibility to get the trade from his door to yours if something happened in-between he must make it right none of that is your fault. If you are OK with a substitute beer that is your prerogative and for you to decide. From what I see this transaction was not acceptable in your eyes and you should not compromise.

Is that what he is now telling you? Because this has come up? Calling bs given the quote from him from another thread I provided above.

This makes him look even worse as he agreed to a trade in which he never had the bottles.

If not, I think there is enough here to warrant a bad trader thread and I would advise you strongly to do so. A leaky bottle you didn't request by no means fulfills your trade request imo.

 

Man, this person sounds like a real asshole. All talk, completely full of it, and they are ripping you off. This person cannot be trusted. Please call them out (we all know who it is). I thought he was just a douche before but now we know he is a liar and has no class on top of that. Protect the good traders on BA and lets kick this person out.

 

Is he going to send you an acceptable (in your mind not his) replacement for the hydra/leaky bottle you did not want? If not is he going to return your box?
