Thing is I did reach out to them because they also advertised free shipping and I was still charged a $15 delivery fee on a 2 week late box.. and after 2 emails, nothing. Learned my lesson to just drive the 45 minutes next time.

FWIW the bottles are not stored cold at the brewery or any of their locations (other than a small amount for onsite consumption). If you visit the general store, bottles are sitting out on the shelf.

I know I asked a week or so back but stuff changes so quick these days. Has anyone from NJ done pickup there? Don't feel like placing an order to only get pulled over and told I'm not essential and to head back to SJ.

fwiw I've gone back & forth from PA to South Jersey a couple times to help my family with some stuff and I haven't seen anything stopping people from crossing the bridge...

So I hope the little log cabin sunny is worthy $30 (through mule). I'm not a big fan of the tose, but if it's done well...

Had it last time. Pretty solid. Galaxy has been hit or miss lately. Don't expect dank or bitter to predominate obviously given the lactose. Not sure it's worth $30, but then I'd say that about just about any 4 pack. Generally though their stuff has been some of the best tired hands IPAs in my opinion.

I double-checked my log from untappd last year and i really enjoyed the first batch from 2019. Havent tried this batch but usually LLC delivers! Regardless, I would not expect you to be disappointed.

Did anyone else have issues with Dudley Direct today? It alternated between asking me to update the cart and saying they couldn't find a shipping option to my address for around an hour.

It's definitely a good beer, but its nothing unusual tbh. Lactose is hidden pretty well I must say. Beer doesn't seem overly sweet. Has a slight bite to it, which I like.

Pretty sure they posted a story saying they were having technical issues with the site.

Is it just chance that LLC output has been generally better-liked than Tired Hands stuff lately (or am I making that up)? Is it just a branding thing? Drinking a Sunny Day now and it's fantastic.

I have enjoyed the few LLC beers I have had but nothing really stands out for those beers vs. Tired Hands branded beers for me.

Maybe we are just seeing the SNT* effect here?

    Cheers!

Maybe! That's always a possibility, nobody is totally immune to marketing (including me). I'm wondering if anyone has any insights (or just rumors) into tangible difference in the brewing process (or philosophy) that might create that difference in perception, though.

Better* is relative. The LLC is brand is directed to make very soft, mild, and drinkable beers. Doesn’t necessarily mean it’s better. It’s just what their intent is

I’ve never had any LLC beers but I’ve always wondered if it could just be a marketing thing. Create a brand that is released less frequently, I mean they seem to sell quicker so if it is it’s working.

Their Half Acre collab thing was quite a dud (Heavy Gems?), they dropped that fast.

I mean I've had a number of them. Tired hands honestly hasn't made a ton of their most highly rated traditional DIPAs relative to tons of milkshakes while things like Sea of Green and Death tripper aren't that noteworthy relative to all the NEIPAs on the market. Alien church and hop hands are always solid but they don't get people worked up generally. LLC (sometimes) makes non lactose IPAs, and even when it makes lactose ones, they're not vanilla. I think people are just a little burned out on milkshakes. But then again the DDH Galaxy milkshake I'm sure will sell out at $25 a pop. So what do I know?
