This beer is excellent. Berliner with mango, peach, pineapple, and passionfruit. It’s sounds new school. And it is. But it’s distinctly complex and a drinking beer. Not a sugary sweet fruit shake labelled “Berliner.” There is lactose. What role does it play here? I’m not sure. The natural stone and tropical fruit flavors complement the high level of lactic acid, keeping the style in tact, whatever that means. Mid palate the focus shifts to plasticy Brett. This beer is devoid of sweetness and the finish dries out wonderfully.

Last one of the six pack. Not a bad lager. Almost forgot to post it. Got hung up texting with a number of folks.

White Elm Single Barrel, best BBA S'mores Stout I've ever had. Actually it's my top-rated beer at 4.77. It says nothing about S'mores on the label because they planned to reuse that label on other BBA Stouts. I'd be surprised if they ever beat this one, a true pastry stout.

    Hey BA’s
We drove down to our house on Cape Cod for the weekend for the first time in almost 2 months. I opened the refrigerator and low and behold I found one of these

[IMG] Hoppy Wife Hoppy Life by Mayflower

    3.9/5 rDev 0%
    look: 4.25 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.75

From Untapp’d , “ Hoppy Wife Hoppy Life is an American Pale Ale mashed with pale malt, caramel malt & a substantial amount of wheat. It appears golden in color & slightly hazy. A romantic blend of American, German & New Zealand hops offers a drinking experience that is tangerine, floral & piney, with undertones of white grape. Discreet bitterness, slight malt sweetness & velvety smooth - a crisp & refreshing ale neatly wrapped up in a 5% ABV package”

    Canned 2.4.2020, opened 4.23.2020

    Can poured into a teku

One finger creamy white foam cap, good retention, sticky lacings that settle to an island with a ring over translucent amber liquid

Aroma is citrus , tangerine , whiff of pine

Taste is citrus, pine , malt

Hop bite that lingers, medium sudsing , pine hop taste lingers on the back of the tongue

    Good beer

Damn This beer is awesome! Never heard of the brewery but I will surely remember it. Enchantment, an IPA brewed by Icicle. Courtesy of @Mister_Faucher who now seems to be more sober than me these days. But I am glad.

#2, there are times Bare Hands misses - the pilsner they brewed recently (I believe it was their first pilsner, but I could be wrong) had chunks (HUGE chunks) of hops floating EVERYWHERE after a regular pour. NOTE: I’ve had a lotta pilsners/lagers in my beer nerd life, and I have NEVER seen a floatie. Never.

But they nailed this - loads of milk chocolate, char, and stone fruit. It is very worthy of your consideration.

Very easy drinking.. it's basically fermented orange juice. Not getting much hops in the smell or taste so not much of an IPA. If the sun was out I wouldn't mind slamming a few. Goes down quick for 8% abv.
