Carton Brewing (2020)

I wanted both of those beers when I went out today but got neither.

 

Revisited Wedge Issue today after drinking few other beers (non carton).

It has more ooomph to it than I anticipated. The body seems to be thiccer than what i wrote previously. I was definitely feeling it more today. Has a slight wine(y) taste to it, which is a given. Overall, I enjoyed it better today. It's a winner for sure.

 

Isn't wedge issue brewery only? I assume swishr was distroed.

 

Don’t know but I went to three stores and none had any new Carton releases.

 

Where You at? I'll stop by Joe Canals in woodbridge tomorrow so I'll let you know if they have it.

 

Bridgewater

 

I bought Boat dated 4/20 from Jersey Fine Wine in New Providence, but the rest of what they had was older (Milk, Cupid, SS Yergachiffe). The Odub was prob fresh as well. Rest of that shops selection is pretty weak and/or not fresh.

I think curbside and delivery is eating into retail distro for most breweries (can't fault them for that). And unfortunately, shops doing curbside only (eg Bottle King, Gary's) are doing a poor job of keeping website inventory updated, which is shocking as its their only means of letting us know what's in stock. As an e.g. Carton posted they distro'd to Garys Madison last Wed. It was not listed or available on the site until like Saturday, and for a pick-up window of Tues the earliest.

 

The only Carton I got was Boat because there was no Swishr, Larry, new Hook, etc.

 

do you mean/remember if that Yerg was the 4 week ago one or a year? obviously i am not concerned about 4 weeks on a coffee ipa where a year would be of significant note, know what i mean ? either way i will have the sales guy check but if you remember, i'd love to know how big a fire needs preventing as soon as possible

 

Sorry - I didn't take a look at the Yerg. Didn't seem to be a lot of it IIRC, so more likely the more recent one. And all of it was in coolers.

 

whew..! after all the southern NJ news from earlier this year i had a panic moment. this ends up being good news, thank you and good looking out. to all of you

 

there is at least a chance of it being the older one. When I was there to grab cupid earlier this year I recall seeing it - distinctly because I got excited for an SS but, I'm not a big fan of Ethiopian Yirgacheffe so i passed.


Providence Liquors was at least up to date when I went there a few weeks back to grab some boat.

 

we've since checked, it's the march cans, but thanks i will keep an eye there

 

So with some Nelson beers dropping, anyone else hoping for a 07750 drop sometime soon?

07750 is the dame day every year, our anniversary week, at boyle's in... 07750

 

that's usually for Philly beer week, haven't heard much on that at the moment but that's understandable/to be expected.. as the craft, beaten and unbeaten, turns these days

 

Appreciate the info. I finally got my hands on some Wedge Issue; enjoying one right now and as others have said, it's stupid good. Gonna go with some Swishr later, per your suggestion.
